Did anyone try installing a second SSD on the T495 via the wwan port? Researched online and seems like it's not possible =/

Yes it works, but need get the right spec ssd for it to work which is "M.2 2242 SSD / PCIe NVMe, PCIe 3.0 x 2", follow the PSREF specs.

I have no idea about warranty, if effect or not.

As for opening it, when you try it once or twice you will be more confident opening it, of course be gentle, if you feel like it will break don’t proceed.

There’s also computer shop you can go there and ask them do for you.

Also base on the video, they never show if need to disable battery or remove battery cable before installing the RAM, you should refer to your laptops hardware maintenance manual if there is one.

If you’re planning get a thinkbook, get the 10th gen intel version, because old model does not have dual channel ram, new model I think does, better research on that. Dual channel may not matter if your only purpose is office work, but just thought you should know

Thinkbook 14 & 15-IML has dual channel ram

At RM1010 that was a steal nonetheless. How did the sale come to be? How many units were sold and how many minutes left for sales? Oh well. laugh.gif

To be honest, I believe lenovo just pushing this laptop to market and want to create awareness.
It was between 3am and 7am, people post on lowyat about it.

I’m not really sure how many units given out, maybe 20?

Anyways this is really old story already, most have moved on now and looking for new deals, either pc or pc accessories.

Supposed to be limited to 5 units. But somehow they forget to put the limit.

Yeah, I have an X1C6 with i58250U, performance about the same with this laptop I guess. Just feels bad that it is a 5th of my laptop price. I dont need it, but it feels when you miss out on a good deal

Now more and more company coming with 32GB RAM modules for laptop. However so far cannot find for desktop. Most the desktop 32GB RAM is server RAM, not sure if can use for normal consumer PC.

You mine sharing the specs? Want to see what you can get for the price and would be good for future buyers so they have a benchmark for their purchase.
