AFAIK, if you buy at those "branded" shops then it's 99% safe.

As a general rule of thumb, buy authorized handset and you're safe...don't buy "special" offer like open boxed phone sell cheap cheap with bluetooth handsfree etc...

thats why i said... just check the front cam.. if not working then sure that is the fake 1..
n note that even u use the main cam for the fake fon, the display is not fullscreen, while original n73 hav fullscreen display..

run the nokia software updater?
and how do i disconnected the cable when in pc suite mode?
coz i can't find in the safely remove hardware like in mass storage mode

run the updater....... then it will ask u to plug in ur phone...... then turn ur phone to offline then plug in and select pc suite....


just pull it out......

I dont use any anti-virus in my phone since I bought it...
Just be careful with bluetooth messages...

I also not using any antivirus software also...Set my blutooth to invisible to prevent virus..

Guys i got a problem with my N73..I was updating the firmware with the Nokia updater. Suddenly my friend called in and i 'gelabah' abit and picked up the call. I didnt manage to get the call though and although i ddint disconnect the hp from the com. The screen is still blank. I left it like that for abt an hr or so thinking that its normal cos N73 when updating the firmware, the screen is always blank.

Anyway i disconnected the device and i couldnt start it on any longer? Did i just fcked up my hp? Looks like it...Does the warranty cover it and how difficult is it to fix this kind of problems. My friend mentioned to me that i might have to change the whole chip board and might as well get a new phone...Is what he say correct?? BTW my phone is an AP phone from HK so is the warranty acceptable in Msia SC?
