hello all, i'm a noob here and wanna share my setup with u guys...
I'm thinking about mounting my LCD into a stoon (dunno whether spelled correctly)...

- Sony Bravia KLV-40V400A (no money to get the W series)
- Home theatre DAV-DZ777K (bundled together with LCD got discount Rm600)
- Playstation 3 80GB Bundled with MGS4 (coz i want to play old ps1 and ps2 games)

I'm thinking about getting the spiderman trilogy box set blu-ray, so yeah, its going to be a sony life for me. See Sony, hear Sony, Play Sony, Watch Sony...

sorry i dont know the details about the ht. I only bought it because its bundled together with the lcd.

please share your comments, whether i need to add in other peripherals to receive maximum pleasure in playing ps3...

if u haven deliver, try changing the home theatre set to ht S 2300
tis model shud be more compatible to ur ps3 than the current one u r purchasing

should I get the HT-SF2300?
what is the difference between it and the DAV-DZ777K? better?

well... this will certaintly add some RM to the invoice i'm getting from onking... and not forgetting loosing the discount I get from bundling those 2... haish...

anyway, will go to onking this week to see the HT-SF2300...

will call onking later to confirm whether can change, coz I paid fully for the stuff edi

Added on August 15, 2008, 10:53 amI heard that the HT-SF2300 has passive subwoofers, would there be any problem or will there be any peripherals to get (external amp / etc) to make it perform like an active subs? sorry noob here, dun even know what I'm asking exactly but I know you'll understand

ah lord.... difference is rm 200, and no dvd player
i think both model also passive sub
i tried the 2300, the sub is abit over for my liking, guess its powderfull enuff, another note is the 2300 doesnt comes with dvd player, but its a perfect match with ur ps3, u can get urseld a NS 708h for 399 only, and u still have another spare hdmi input in the 2300( 3 in 1 out)

paired it with ps3 and u can enjoy HD audio

I've called Onking at they stated that there will be no problem in changing the unit as the have not ordered it yet...


Well, to me it will bump near to RM1K as I'll lose the RM600 something discount and need to fork in another 200 for the HT-SF2300...

Nonetheless rx, after seeing your nickname all over the PS3, Blu-ray and HD topics, I know that you really do know what you are talking about and therefore have decided to opt for the HT-SF2300

might as well go for the best within my budget right?

After I completed the setup... and my house renovation is complete, I'll post some pics ok... but i think it will take several month
cannot wait to play ps3 lerr....

there is a reason for the 600 discount lar... if tat thing so good, why discount? same things as the 2300, simi sai promo or disc pun tarak, cos i think its a very good price liao, especially paired with ps3

nothin to improve liao, and if got extra $, get theNS708h, i think it maybe cheaper since u buy the V series, maybe got some rebates as well

yeah... I now know why they discount... this is because, to buy the lcd tv oni, cost RM5499 and get free DVP-NS708H + lightning arrestor. If buy package wont get the dvd player as it is already incorporated into the HT set (and afaik incorporated is not good coz if the dvd player lens broke, your HT also deemed unusable rite? )

A guy at Onking said that the HT-SF2300 is blu-ray player incorporated. dunno whether he wanna bluff me or whether he is not that informed.... well, though noob as i maybe, at least i'm more informed than him now after browsing through LYN.

PS3 80GB MGS4 Bundle = RM2230
3G Bravo 30" - 52" Wall Bracket = RM200

= RM9928.... do you guys think I'm doing the write thing here? almost 10K for Entertainment Setup only... well.. my only hope is for it to be worth it and can bring family closer by watching movies and favourite shows together, enjoying it in HD...

yeah, i now know... luckily i got search in lyn. lots of information has helped me alot in planning and budgeting for my Entertainment Setup
