I don't think Q will be up for a limited run.. taking from how they are currently getting all the hype recently

as we can see how the marlin reissue was getting the attention and slowly disappearing from media's attention from the past recent months

the Q will be the same case and they will keep producing different iterations of colorways to gain media's attention for the brand till they manage to get the next hype release

QUOTE(fuzzy @ Nov 27 2019, 10:50 AM)
The Q was initially intended to be a LE.

But they saw the hype and quickly and quietly dropped that LE thing.
*
that's great news. There are many people that wants to buy the Q. Its good if they put this into a good production run just like how it was in the 70s. It kinda explains if the watch was intended for LE in the first place, no wonder they can't keep up with the demand. Or i could be wrong. unsure.gif

For the Marlin, when i tried it first time it was very nice. But knowing its too small for my wrist, i totally forgotten about it until u mentioned it again. laugh.gif

I agree too 34mm is abit too small.. I think 36 or 37mm would be more suitable for both male and female market

this blue falcon is crazily striking.. looks way more outstanding than the pepsi release

saw one on carousell sg. the sunburst blue dial + applied indices is just drool.gif

scalpers who are late to the game will only be in that situation

I believe the experience ones should have already saw this coming after the second batch was released by our local distributor

imo cheaper to order from amazon usa than to buying locally here. otherwise you can consider getting from zalora which often times has additional discount on top of the usual discount which makes them a great buy and less hassle

loud ticking still persist for weekender models but the ticking sound it depends on the people surrounding you whether does it annoy them or not

timex is a good option, but the only struggle i have is getting the stock and particular moddel.

right now only shoppee / zalora can offer some models.

i've always want to add an american watch to my collection, maybe will get a few pieces weekender and expeditions to start with.

yup totally agree with you.. our local distributor only carries the very basic low-mid tier normal models into our country

previously I've contacted them about the usa website models and they just only replied me with stay tune for more upcoming models

after a long time later still same stuffs and nothing special came here

you can consider ordering through amazon usa or using a forwarder to purchase directly from timex usa website which usually has additional 15% discount code smile.gif

oppss.. I misread his "i've always want to add an american watch to my collection" and thought he wanted to get the american documents series collection. I don't think those are available here yet right?

yup indeed the marlins and q hype are gone.

well lets be honest...who would pay RM2k for a quartz watch?
which is essentially what the american document series is?

there are other american made watches anyway...but using jap movements...
popular ones like mk II and detroit watch company.

but if all he wants is an american watch...then there's always fossil whistling.gif

- hard to say. there are many of us who are willing to happily pay more than rm3k for a sbbn marinemaster which is still a quartz

but if all he wants is an american watch...then there's always fossil whistling.gif
- I prefer the timex > fossil's history. at least their sole products are timepieces while fossil is more of a fashion brand.

he mentioned wanting to get weekender for a starter with that loud ticking noise is actually quite a cool piece for watch nerds. many hates that loud ticking but how I see it is quite similar to mechanical ticking just tik tok instead of tik tik tik laugh.gif

but ppl would pay for 'history'...cos the marinemaster dates back to the golden tuna in the 70s which was also quartz.

i believe the timex american document series has no ties at all to any vintage models...its just a new model with fancy catalog of pictures shot by some pro that u can d/l documenting american stuff...hence the name...and price.

the marlin is still a better buy...and an actual reissue.

that's true. however the 7c is still a high end quartz movement that is made only for the marinemaster tuna which is also makes it a special piece to own in every collection
