Thanks, I'm planning to get just the player with GPS support. Wondering if I'm able to use my current stock GPS unit?

Usually new android player come with free GPS antenna nowadays. You may try to use back your current one if compatible. GPS antenna very cheap only.

Thanks. Wanted to know if anyone actually tried using their stock GPS antenna. But, yes, will try it out to see if compatible. If can't, no issue for me. Will just revert back to the phone for Waze, which is my preference really. Getting the Android HU mainly for reverse camera & radio as my stock unit HU screen is kaputing.

I start from linux based players, so I'm not sure what i miss if using android

maybe cannot play directly from the apps player eg YT, waze & google map

Linux players need to be every time connect to our hp to utilize those apps in our hp.

The problem i don't like about linux players is that
1. No hp and it just a normal player listening to radio
2. If using wireless AA, the hp battery drain very fast unless always plug in
3. When there is multiple drivers in the cars, it be confusing who wireless connected thru AA


Any users here can advice/solution on the problem above? Does Android player also suffer same problem as mine?

For those already install Android HU, does this FM signal amplifier / booster help to improve FM receiver? Or this is not effective?

Price at Shopee/Lazada around RM20 plus/minus though…

i got no problems with FM radio reception

Keep the money. Buy better HU instead.

if mostly use android auto wired, specs aren't that important

I installed 7862S Android HU (4GB+64GB no 360) in last year May'23 ... just that the radio reception not as good as stock HU.
Currently I'm using the antenna comes with Android HU (refer below):



I wonder if switch back to stock antenna using socket below will help to improve the signal?

your 7862S 4+64 : hows the performance? using map and waza smooth like our phone?

i m using 2+64, playing music all ok, except loading maps and waze very slow.

Normally use back stock antenna. If stock antenna not clear which due to android HU, many sellers would recommended "booster".

my old android player 2+32 8core 360 no problem loading map and waze

Mine 2+64 can load maps, just slow, not fast like phone.

Once the maps is loaded and running, it will run as good as phone speed.

Just the loading time is so slow hahaha.

Not sure if there is any huge diff if using 7862S 4+64 vs 2+64 in maps loading speed?
