Need help.

Couple days ago, i still can download from play store.

Today, when i try to download / install anything in playstore, it keep showing "pending" for hour.

When i try using my phone play store, can download / install normally. Only the Android head unit in the car cannot.

Other function of the head unit working fine, wifi, navigation all ok.

Any solution? What would be the issue?

Get 4G (6G/8G if budget no issue, but i think is overkill since we do not run so many things inside car). Am using 2G (due to tight budget), opening map a bit slow.

In my opinion. RM1000+ including installation and casing sound very reasonable. So many brands and seller out there, please select good reputable seller / brands.

this kind of thing, i try not to buy online and install ourselves, just in case got spoilt unit, very "mafan".

may be visit 2-3 reputable car accessories shop and do some comparison before installing.

Snapdragon cpu head unit is the latest chipset if i remember.

Should be expensive, how much cost ?

I always believe, if nothing broke, dont fix it.

If the unit is running smoothly, why go update filmware.

Sincere advice from existing 2GB user, save more and buy the 4GB or above player since the $$$ different not that much. It will worth the extra $$$ spent.

There is no need to update the system la, using for few years change new one. After updating, got problem lagi susah.

I would suggest you go for the 4gb + 4g sim card type.

I m using the 2gb version, loading map, google etc would be slow.

the price diff is only few hundred buck. You may not know may be a year down the road you may need to use the android unit instead of Carplay / AC.

It is always convenient to use the player instead of Carplay.

your 7862S 4+64 : hows the performance? using map and waza smooth like our phone?

i m using 2+64, playing music all ok, except loading maps and waze very slow.

Mine 2+64 can load maps, just slow, not fast like phone.

Once the maps is loaded and running, it will run as good as phone speed.

Just the loading time is so slow hahaha.

Not sure if there is any huge diff if using 7862S 4+64 vs 2+64 in maps loading speed?

You should focus on the RAM (4gb and above), not the storage.

Storage will not affect performance unlike RAM.

Storage can be extended via external USB, no issue at all.

Use your money to get a higher gb unit better.

Hi guys,

Last 2 days, my car android player giving me 2 issues:

1. Sportify keep showing offline.

2. It keep asking me which launcher to use ? ( I have both Home and Car Launcher).

3. The poweramp player app, certain playlist not allow me to change the album art, but most of the playlist is ok, weird.

The above never happended before for years, only these couples days.

anyone can advice how to fix?

No, i did not. Normally, i will not do any updates.

Last night, in the main drop down menu, i clicked the "system clean" button, it seems like clearing something (like what we see in our phone).

After that, it seems working fine.

So weird, any ideas what cause this?

But with the price you got from Soundstream, you can get better spec and deal else where.

From my view, Soundstream pricey.

Actually, if you do not mind, you may forget about brands. Those come with brands are basically over-priced.

I believe most ppl will agreed, 90% android head units in the market (brand or non-brand) are sourced from China mainland, meaning inside the head unit, more or less same.

Just shop at the shoppe and choose 4gb-8gb non-brand, with the similar price tag as the branded one, you can get 6gb-8gb.

Note: I dont think brand like Mohawk. Soundstream, Dynavin will develop / invent the player themselves without the economy of scale.

With the default stock home launcher = i do not think you can change the default music player.

What you can do = go playstore, download free or buy 3rd party launcher (Carlauncher, Agama launcher etc). those launcher allows you to add or replace the app in home screen, and set default app for music, video etc.
