Question on changing to Android HU as my existing stock HU already death (Radio Fuse work fine). I was told get HU below will cost RM1188 including installation (around 2 hours plus/minus) with casing included (10" casing):

- UIS7862(S) Okta Cores
- 4GB RAM and 32GB Storage
- 10 inches QLED screen (not 2K)

Is this a good deal?

Get 4G (6G/8G if budget no issue, but i think is overkill since we do not run so many things inside car). Am using 2G (due to tight budget), opening map a bit slow.

In my opinion. RM1000+ including installation and casing sound very reasonable. So many brands and seller out there, please select good reputable seller / brands.

this kind of thing, i try not to buy online and install ourselves, just in case got spoilt unit, very "mafan".

may be visit 2-3 reputable car accessories shop and do some comparison before installing.

I already bought Android HU myself and successfully installed to my car ==> Android HU (7862S with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage) and 10“ casing with socket, bought it from two sellers from Shopee with total damage RM915.
First time DIY, all about unscrew / screw / plug & play, took nearly 2 hours to get it work. laugh.gif

Currently struggle stock reverse camera, apparently like I need to get an adapter / socket / connector to get it work. icon_question.gif

I need a 24'pin socket with RCA male (refer pic), went to an accessories shop but they don't have it. doh.gif
If still no luck will have to let accessories shop fix it for me. sweat.gif

==========================================

Question for anyone who familiar with the Toyota 24-pin socket for stock reverse camera.
To use back this stock reverse camera, is it true I have to get a voltage convertor (12v to 6v)?
Or I can use those regular one (without voltage convertor)?

Thanks again

Thanks for sharing... this item is inside my cart before I posted earlier, there were few similar 24-pin socket with RCA male too.
The question is - should I get the socket comes with voltage convertor (downgrade from 12v to 6v 3A OR 6v 2.5A)?
From the tokopedia Indonesia website they said it is good to have it because it protect the stock reverse camera without damage it with high voltage (12v).

================================

Forgot to ask about this 24-pin socket / connector... seller said this is for Pioneer and may not work with my reverse camera 24-pin, that's why I look from Indonesia side to look for more clue and found this voltage convertor (or stepdown voltage).
My stock Toyota HU is from Fujitsu TEN (made in Thailand), also using 24-pin socket / connector... maybe Pioneer and Fujitsu TEN shared the same connector? hmm.gif

For those already install Android HU, does this FM signal amplifier / booster help to improve FM receiver? Or this is not effective?

Price at Shopee/Lazada around RM20 plus/minus though…

I installed 7862S Android HU (4GB+64GB no 360) in last year May'23 ... just that the radio reception not as good as stock HU.
Currently I'm using the antenna comes with Android HU (refer below):

I wonder if switch back to stock antenna using socket below will help to improve the signal?
