QUOTE(assemble @ Jul 9 2007, 06:40 AM) Just one question, why is it teams that are interested in participating need to pay the rm100 registration fees, you said that the team that won will be fully sponsored by SMM and In2, and I don't see any reason why any registration fees are needed here since you guys wont give out any prizes in terms of cash and trophy. 18 teams, thats a total of rm1800. Do you mind to explain how this rm1800 will be use to fund the qualifier? Cybertime being one of the biggest lanshop in Malaysia and being the sponsor of the best team around are not willing to fork up some of the pcs to held a qualifier? What SMM and In2 sponsor is the fees to SgThat is a total joke. Unless you tell us that the money will be use to pay the marshall who will be very dedicated to host the event. Plus another point is why arent any other teams allowed to join this qualifier? I remember there are another quite decent cybertime team around, and I dont see them in the list. The fact is, if you are charging rm100 per team, then it should be open to public, correct me if I'm wrong, I just think that this qualifier is out of the point where it had been too commercialized instead of for the well being of the community. But to held the qualifier there is no fund for it so all the money that is collected will be paid for management fees, marshal fees, venue booking and etc. We hope u all will understand that we held this qualifier to give more chances to top seeded team and not just 1. We also wish to open it to public but due to time restraining factor we aren't able to do so. If we do not held a qualifier then the management will pick a representing team and that wont be fair to other able top teams, right? We would hope you all to understand our situation. Anyway all fans and public are invited to come and watch the match. Thank you. Good luck to all the participating teams. |

QUOTE(MyGaming-Aaron @ Jul 9 2007, 04:52 PM) What SMM and In2 sponsor is the fees to Sg Venue booking fees? If Cybertime is not sponsoring then who give the right for them to hold a qualifier in its branch? Just do the mathematics and you'll know that the fees collected is way beyond the cost. What management fees is needed to pay for? I dont see any chemistry between the management and the qualifier. If you say venue booking, that is acceptable, management fees? That is another joke. But to held the qualifier there is no fund for it so all the money that is collected will be paid for management fees, marshal fees, venue booking and etc. We hope u all will understand that we held this qualifier to give more chances to top seeded team and not just 1. About Marshal, how much are you going to pay for the marshal?rm100 per marshall?you going to find 10 marshalls and ask them to work together immediately. I do believe that for such a big event that there are actually many people who are willing to volunter themselves to help out. I see this is more like a scheme to earn money from this opportunity rather than offering any help to help to the community. This post has been edited by assemble: Jul 9 2007, 08:18 PM |

Those teams who are worthy to participate, another cybertime team is decent enough as far as i know but I don't see they got listed here, but those teams who are relatively new and unknown get their chances to participate, lmao, talking bout fairness huh? but if u are not 1 of those teams invited to participate in this qualifier, i dun see the point of you keep bashing the organizers of this event, teams in this qualifier can make their own choice whether they wan to take part or not, sour grapes that your team got left out from consideration maybe? |

*edited* Lol no offense, and yeah the participation sounds way higher for a tourny which gives out zero prize money. Unless the organizers explain where the money goes to, there will be lots more of these curiousity and complaints . About the selected teams, i guess due to the time constraints the organizers picked those who had shown good results in recent tourneys and somehow overlooked other teams which are more worthy in some other opinions. But then again, its a very subjective matter

One team doesnt represent the whole community. |
