Chelsea remain interested in bringing a striker in January. Luka Jovic and Piatek are both available on loan. #CFC [Sky]

In this game, it can be seen in the first half that the team is quite confident in ball-playing, even though the number of shots are lacking.

However the confidence level somehow dropped (i guess?) in the second half, where HC took most possession while we defend like crazy until Tomori help to give us bit of a cushion sweat.gif

For the goals conceded, imo it was a weird mistake from Kova when he turned his body while jumping during HC’s freekick being taken, causing a deflection sufficient enough to confuse Willy.

Few points to note,

Alonso was somewhat good in this game. Good up until the point he gave away the freekick that lead to HC’s goal.

Pedro on the other hand was just plain bad (except for his pace. Dude got stamina yo). Guess his time is finally up.

CHO performed like the old days. Except maybe he needs to practice his finishing touches. With a little bit more practicing and experiences gained, he could be our own ‘Sancho’ imo.

All in all, it can be said that the team still struggle in killing games off. Lamps might need to instil this to the team, i.e. try to kill the game in the first half lol laugh.gif

Anyway, just enjoy the win. Hopefully it boosts the team morale to face tougher fixtures ahead. For now, we advance to the next round of the FA cup!

Quite amazing that we were saying the exact same thing last season sweat.gif

Guess we're going to drag it out till the end of the season and do it the hard way. The team's determined to give us high blood pressure for as long as possible, when will they let us relax a bit? laugh.gif

Speaking about haaland and seeing how he's living up to the hype, do u guys think we made a mistake in not just going for him? Yea I know raiola's a douchebag for insisting on that get out clause for his client, and any team who takes up the offer is practically open to losing the star striker when barca/madrid/bayern come knocking, but is it really that big a deal?

Are we basically admitting yea the team's going to hell in a couple of years when someone decides to activate the clause and turns his head..are we really that bad? Looking back down the years, many teams have lost their star players and survived just fine.

Arsenal lost henry to barca, utd lost ronaldo to madrid, pool lost suarez/coutinho to barca, spurs lost bale to madrid, and we've lost the likes of drogs and lamps, as they aged, etc. Too soon to tell how much we'll miss eden (though I'm well aware we could've used him in a couple of our games this season), but my point is nobody stays forever and perhaps that dreaded clause has been blown out of proportion.

In the end what matters most is the results we can achieve with the players we have NOW, and not worry excessively about what happens in the future. Besides, we can always convince him (or any other player for that matter) that stamford bridge is his home, and there's no need to go anywhere else. Or some other club turns his head and we lose him anyway, clause or no clause! Bottom line is, the club perseveres and moves on.

Dortmund were smart in moving swiftly with a firm bid imo, while other clubs were busy worrying about how the clause will affect them in the future. In the end they get to enjoy a top class player who'll ultimately help in their league and CL ambitions, while we're stuck with only one good striker who's showing little signs of improvement, due to the lack of competition.
