Hi we are getting delay quotes from IBKR...... but the rest of the numbers seem live numbers..... am i right? The Daily P&L and Unrealized P&L on the portfolio page are live numbers..
*
only daily P&L is live, the rest is not, not even your unrealised P&L.

anyone trade options here in ibkr? why the market data subscription for me is usd125 per month for option live, thats ridiculously expensive? or it is just me?
*
because you're a professional trader?

Check your market sub status. It should be written as non-pro. Pro pays more.

Hi, I been using IBKR for 3 years plus now. I now plan to buy pre-market. Already set the configuration (in preset and check the box of the 1st OTH).

However, when I entered an entry, it grey out the OTH or pre-market triggered. Why is that? Can anyone advise? Thanks
*
which stock exchange and which stock?

not all stocks have pre-market trading.

Have any of you here tried wire transfer via TransferWise to IBKR through Citibank NA as specified by IBKR. I perform my transfer on the 3rd of Feb and my funds isnt in yet.

Previously I used Instarem and my funds are in IBKR within hours.
*
which currency?

if you keep changing your funding method, it will take more time as they have to check with compliance.

3. Do you always have to initiate a deposit notification through the IB account before initiating the transfer through InstaReM?
*
you MUST always initiate a deposit notification before fund transfer, regardless whether you use InstaRem, transferwise or normal bank transfer.

Anyone tried depositing JPY with either Transferwise or Sunway Money into their IBKR account? Would it be acceptable?
*
QUOTE(dwRK @ Feb 16 2021, 09:15 AM)
should be available
*
For transferwise, it's a domestic transfer. IBKR don't accept domestic transfer from certain countries, such is the case for Japanese yen. So you won't be able to use Transferwise to transfer JPY to IBKR.
For Japanese residents, they need to initiate a foreign telegraphic transfer in JPY to IBKR bank acc in Japan. It sounds ridiculous. More info available on Google.

I'm not sure how Sunway Money works. If it's a domestic transfer like TW, then no. If it's a foreign telegraphic transfer, then yes.

Hello everyone!

I am looking into getting into IBKR. Quick question.

I currently have a US dollar account with HSBC Malaysia. Can I directly transfer my USD to fund my IBKR? Thanks!
*
yes, possible. Just need to use the transfer details from IBKR.

I Google and found some people doing jpy domestic xfer... don't know how tw does it so may not work

*
there are two types of ibkr accounts in Japan, one is for trading domestic stocks only known as IBSJ and one is for IBKR US. It's written on IBKR JP website.
https://www.interactivebrokers.co.jp/en/ind...47661&p=account
Funds cannot be transferred between these two accounts, which gives you an idea on how different they are.

For the domestic one, I think can do domestic transfer; but not for the international ibkr. The CSO has called and confirmed this with me. Even if you had a Japanese bank acc, you would still need to initiate an international bank transfer. All TW transactions are domestic; that's how they lower their operating costs.

But of course no harm trying.

Yup that's the sad part. Nevermind towards USD20k then switch to pure IB to bring down the price further.
*
200k USD?? How long does it take to reach there? Are you half way there?

I'm at 50k only. Still need a long time to double my wealth.

I just realized IBKR monthly activity fees for under 25 yo is just 3 USD, but I've already opened my account through TSG.
Is it possible to unlink TSG and link it back later (when I am over 25)?
*
under 25yo already so much cash to invest? brows.gif

Yeah, possible. Maybe just send them a message?

Has anyone used it? Any screenshots to show what it's like?

Hi Guys,

Being reading this thread from the beginning and thank you to all the information.

I know most are doing for investment purpose; that is to hold the share/etf for long periods. So basically divide into 2 groups :
Day Trader: Frequent buy and sell
Investor: Buy and hold for capital gain in long period.

However, I hv questions abt choosing btw pure IBKR and Whitelabel. Is it better to use pure IBKR if you do some day trading? The trading volume is enuf to cover the $10/month commission. But still not high volume for tier pricing la. For the day trader, is it worthwhile to stick to pure IBKR?
*
if you're doing DT, then suggest pure ibkr.

Hi, all.

Have anyone tried to deposit money using other's account ? How long does it take ?

I am helping a friend to open his TSG account, while waiting for his CIMB SG account to opened, he transfer his initial fund to my CIMB SG and I did the initial funding for him.

I did it around 10am this morning but the money has yet to show up in his account.

Any idea how long it will take since the sender's name isn't his name
*
QUOTE(Manatau @ Mar 6 2021, 02:59 PM)
Is there any restrictions also in withdrawing to a bank account that is in someone else name?

Actually my full name is not on IBKR. Will CIMB SG reject the receipt of the funds?
*
I can't remember where I read it, but funding & withdrawing to/from a bank account not in your name will raise a red flag!!

Don't say we didn't warn you.

QUOTE(Sky.Live @ Mar 6 2021, 02:08 PM)
I transferred at 10.50pm yesterday, by 11.30pm i received sms / email said amount cleared.

I will try second batch of bank in later

anyone can advice which pricing plan to choose?
Tiered or default?
Will not trade a lot i think
*
If you're on TSG, there's no pricing plan for you to choose.

If you're on pure ibkr, go for tiered pricing.
