Hi just to check, to activate account, do we need to convert the SGD transferred into USD1000 equivalent? Also do we actually need to transfer USD 1000 equivalent or slightly more than that just to be safe due to currency fluctuations? Thx

maybe I am too nervous. I have transferred via fast to IBKR sg from my cimb sg account today.  However,  the “fund your account” - application status - is still pending receiving my money/transfer.

Anyone knows normally how long it would to transfer from cimb sg to IBKR sg? Especially initial deposit?

I'm trying to reset my IBKR password from IBKR web site but one of the step is asking me to enter the code from the security device. I've never received any device from IBKR. Any idea how to reset password apart from calling customer service via phone?

PS: I opened the IBKR account via TSG.

tried to reset the password from mobile also the same. asking for code from security device. not sure which security device that is referring to.

just called Customer Service in US to reset (via web Skype - FOC call). need to wait a while to get through to CS though....

I opened IBKR 3 years ago and been actively doing trading in there until today. I used CIMB to transfer to IBKR account (forgot how to do it but it over the counter). I know Maybank will reject due to security reason.

Mid this year, I tried to withdraw partial profit from IBKR to my Maybank (my CIMB dormant already). It works.

Now, my question is, can I use Maybank2u to online transfer to IBKR? I don't intend to do but I want to know whether technically, is it possible or not.

Hi, a little clarification on Transferwise (although a bit off topic). For my first transfer, the fee was quite low and i think discount was applied. For the second transfer, fee seemed higher for a lesser amount. Is there like a discount only for first time users?

Secondly, i've noticed that if i use a link that is shared from others, both will get the discount as well? Is this for an unlimited times to use?

Hi all, I am from Malaysia. Currently I am using Maybank Global Trading account to trade US stock. Am planning to use IBKR moving forward. Do you think opening a Maybank USD savings account is a good option? This is so that I can transfer all my stock proceed from Maybank Global Trading Account (USD) to Maybank USD saving account without forex loss and then directly online transfer to IBKR in USD.

Can we withdraw USD from IBKR to Maybank USD account when we want to withdraw money? Anyone has such experience can share?
