not feeling any vibes ler...
over acting, weird stupid stunts, and I really can't stand the male lead......

Just watched all quiet on the western front. Didn't even know it was based on a novel. Not sure whether its faithful to the source novel or not but the movie is very, very good for a war movie. Perfectly visualized the horrors of war. I usually avoid non english movie but this one I've stucked to the end, which is very long at 2 hours and a half. Its rated r, expect many gory scene; dismembered, self harm etc.

This movie climax at last part when he died. If he waited few more second he will be alive

Just realized there's no dedicated thread for Netflix in LYN.. how can??

So let's start with this thread on what you're watching / what's good to watch!

Some of the shows that was nice for me:

1. Stranger Things - Netflix famous series, based on another dark realm/monsters known as "upside down" intruding into our world. A girl with psychic abilities is the hero.



2. Sandman - adapted from a list of books. About a celestial that can control dreams and nightmares, and how it revolves around other celestials.



3. Vikings series (includ. Valhalla) - viking story, loosely based on real life events.





4. Peaky Blinders - gangsta story, loosely based on real life events.




5. Shadow and Bone - story about light vs darkness in a fictional world.



6. Wednesday - about Adam's family daughter and her adventures. The actress is amazing and a lot of dark humor.



7. The Crown - about British royalty (somewhat real story)



Cartoons/Anime/Animations:

1. Bleach - Thousand Year Blood War (old bleach episodes now uploaded on Netflix!! Can start watch from S1!!) -anime about shinigami/soul reapers vs hollows/arrancars/quincy etc.



2. Attack on Titan - based on comic books, about a fictional world where Titans exists. A lot of war and politics but deeply satisfying.



3. Cyberpunk - Edgerunners - based on Cyberpunk game, set in the distant future where man and cybernetics merge.

Old Shows/Movies (sometimes not made by Netflix):
1. Suits - office drama /comedy /courtroom

2. Hell's Kitchen - All seasons on Netflix. Cooking competition for the best professional chef.

3. Queen's Gambit - short series about a lady Chess master.

4. Snowpiercer (season 4 having some difficulties: https://movieweb.com/snowpiercer-season-4-w...ue-the-series/) - based on storybooks, about the world had ended in a terrible snow and how the inhabitants survive on this mega train.

5. Locke & Key - fictional show about keys forged from a magical metal, able to grant special abilities.

6. Narcos - story about Pablo Escobar - famous drug lord.

7. Squid Game - fictional story where contestants play to win ultimate cash prize. Losers would die in this game.

Can't wait for the finale for Stranger Things.. the series need to end soon as we've already seen everything. Need to end with a bang before it goes downwards

Best series I’ve seen on Netflix (so far);
1. Queen’s Gambit
2. Giri/Haji
3. The Witcher
4. Godless
5. Peaky Blinders

ah yes Queen's Gambit. Chess at its finest.

I wrote off Witcher since they diverted from the actual story of the books/games. A new actor taking over for 2nd season as Witcher which is a big no for me. Rumour has it that Henry Cavill disagree with the direction that the series is heading (away from actual story of the books).

loved this series. i think its much better than squid games but thats just my own personal opinion

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
speaking of netflix movies. this one so so only. the first one was better.

Just watched Shadow and Bone and Cyberpunk anime (based on the game). Both really good.

Shadow and Bone not as thrilling as Sandman but still above average. Season 2 will be out in Q1 this year. Fantasy +action type of series:



based off a best selling book series.. hope later seasons will be better and they stick to the books' story.

As for Cyperpunk.. Lucy really hot.. kept watching coz of her



about humans with many augments and metal in their body in the future. You'll like it if play Cyberpunk game. Devs were involved with this anime.
