When are we going to finally get to use the cellular in MALAYSIA? damn..... i never buy a single apple watch because i wanted the cellular feel pointless to buy without it although i really want to use it for gym. Want to leave the phone at home just out with the watch also hard.

i am waiting for stainless steel + cellular AW as well..too sad that still no cellular for MY market..
there is no cellular AW for MY market most probably is because of the price..a stainless steel + cellular AW costs you a USD699 which equivalent to around MYR3,000...not many people willing to spend that much for a watch..i guess.. |

QUOTE(sam04563 @ Sep 12 2019, 11:47 AM) i am waiting for stainless steel + cellular AW as well..too sad that still no cellular for MY market.. They still could give an option to sell the cellular version but it seems even for Series 5 they don’t give it here in our market. Very disappointed. RM3k+ for a titanium watch is actually not a bad price. Compare it with Titanium made G Shock for example, the MRG series, it could go way up to 5 digits figure and people still buy it.there is no cellular AW for MY market most probably is because of the price..a stainless steel + cellular AW costs you a USD699 which equivalent to around MYR3,000...not many people willing to spend that much for a watch..i guess.. Now could it work if we buy the Singapore version and use it here without the cellular capability? Anyone tried before? |

Anyone tried before? another thing is..as long there is official Apple store in that country..there will have all range of the product for their customer..like Thailand and SG both have official Apple store..both have cellular version..correct me if i am wrong some ask why SG have it for the consumer but not for MY..because in SG the price may be around SGD1k+ for the cellular version..ppl are more affordable to purchase.. as what i know, e sim in malaysia only support Huawei watch GT(since last year Oct), iPhone xs & xs max(since this year Feb ).. there are cases that back to last year Oct when the e sim only support watch GT from maxis..user try to port it into xs but unsuccessful.. While I will totally get the Titanium AW at RM3K+...but can't really compare with a mechanical watch la. Now could it work if we buy the Singapore version and use it here without the cellular capability? Anyone tried before? Mechanical watch last forever (theoretically), but a smart watch will only last as long as the battery inside last This post has been edited by PHI_1.618: Sep 12 2019, 01:56 PM |

G-Shock of which I mentioned can't be considered as a mechanical watch. it is analogue with electronics inside with battery. Though yes its an apple to orange comparison but the point is Apple should give it a try here.Mechanical watch last forever (theoretically), but a smart watch will only last as long as the battery inside last Anyway if anyone knows whether the cellular version could work without the cellular capabilites, that would be great. I just want at least the SS finish and upon checking on Apple SIN only aluminium version has the basic GPS one. I have the Apple Watch Series 3 aluminium version and it doesn't feel nice actually. Feels too light IMO. I've watched hands-on on the aluminium version of the S5, most say it feels different. |

Same as u, I just want the SS finished. For me it is because of the sapphire crystal scratch proof glass. My Series 0 doesn't have a single scratch till today. |
