No Cellular Apple Watch 5 again for Malaysia. Suck!

If buy from other countries, can the cellular function still be used in Malaysia? I thought need to see if our local service provided is compatible.

for $50 more, u get better material + 1 extra year warranty. 

i think it looks very similar to aluminium.
and since it comes with cellular, very likely it won't be sold in Malaysia

They still could give an option to sell the cellular version but it seems even for Series 5 they don’t give it here in our market. Very disappointed. RM3k+ for a titanium watch is actually not a bad price. Compare it with Titanium made G Shock for example, the MRG series, it could go way up to 5 digits figure and people still buy it.

Now could it work if we buy the Singapore version and use it here without the cellular capability? Anyone tried before?

G-Shock of which I mentioned can't be considered as a mechanical watch. it is analogue with electronics inside with battery. Though yes its an apple to orange comparison but the point is Apple should give it a try here.

Anyway if anyone knows whether the cellular version could work without the cellular capabilites, that would be great. I just want at least the SS finish and upon checking on Apple SIN only aluminium version has the basic GPS one. I have the Apple Watch Series 3 aluminium version and it doesn't feel nice actually. Feels too light IMO. I've watched hands-on on the aluminium version of the S5, most say it feels different.

i like the SS material as well...how good if there is SS for My market..so that i can match it with xs max..

Which mean the new Noise feature will not be available for Malaysia since we don't have cellular version?

my bad, after further checking, i believe even Apple Watch with GPS only got microphone as it is needed for Siri functionality etc... do correct me if i am wrong

so you are saying even with Mic, there're still possibilities that features such as the noise app may not be available? Oh man.. what a bummer. Now need to wait for WatchOS 6 released to find out.

i tot Mic is available since the first apple watch as you can answer calls from the watch?
