If i have RM600, i rather buy either Altec Lansing MX5021, Edifier s330, Edifier C3 or Aego M.

hm....i thinking of buying a set of good 2.1 speakers

any good set to recommend ar?
budget lesser then rm500 if possible...
hope to get a good design speakers too (such as the Harman Kardon soundsticks, but thats too expansive )

btw, if buy, which is the best place to go ar...that got loads of good speakers to test? LYN ar? >.<

went to audition some speakers juz now..

i auditioned Edifier M3300 and Edifier M3400..

--> Price wise, M3300 is a lil bit more expensive than M3400..
--> Design wise, M3300 look more cool and stylish..
--> Bass wise, M3300 bass not tat loud, sounds hard oso (means ears dont feel tat comfortable); M3400 bass is better, softer bass..

in my opinion, for techno listeners and Cs gamers who budget has only rm200-250 (like me!! ),
M3400 is the right speaker to buy

i did audition C3 also.. not really impressed to be frank.. may b lack of sound card..

btw, me using on board sound card nia.. pool ppl nia..

the SQ of on board card is so so only.. if possible buy a ext card, u will feel the diff.

Hi guys

I would appreciate any advice from you speaker enthusiasts here on which 2.1 sound system should I choose.

I listen to music, play games and occasionally watch movie. I'm budgeting around RM500 - 600 on this set.

At first, I was thinking about Altec Lansing CS21 (which I believe is still available in certain shop) but since I'm living in east malaysia (take note that we have a limited amount of PC shop here), so my second option is AL MX5021.

So is there any other 2.1 speaker systems that can rival with Altec Lansing MX5021? It would be great if you can post here the advantages as well as the disadvantages of MX5021.

actually im not looking forward to loud and big bass....but also with sound quality,of course...if sound quality good but no bass then

budget rm200~250 onli leh..

plus, no money buy sound card... T.T

just checked out Altec Lansing VS4221 at Harvey Norman... the sound totally sucks... only nice thing about it is that it comes with 2 kinds of input at the back... which is neat for PC and PS3 (RCA) input...

1st have to ask you question... You mostly use it for gaming, music or movie?
FOr music, recommend you to get S2.1m
For gaming, if you need powerful speaker then get S530

speakers are something that is worth investing for they generally last a long long time. so it might be a good idea to actually save up for a set of good speakers than settle for a mediocre ones. i think many seniors will agree with me. i'm no expert in sound but i can at least differentiate good sound from bad ones. i'm using onboard sound from the motherboard, 5.1 output, and it still sounds good.

i went to All IT ystrday to test out the speakers there.. my target was m3400..

but then i saw SG A5 at another place.. (place where can play free Devil May Cry 4 Pc version... )

i find out that A5 sounds louder and having more bass than m3400 ler... but then hav to tune the volume to around 3/4 la.. tat time i brought my walkman headset, plug the audio jack into my phone and blast musics from my phone..

now i tink buying A5 soon..still dun get what u guys means A5 produce sounds like going through a cloth. mind explain?
