I saw Lenovo ThinkPad X395 with Citibank card offer for 45% off.
But on X390 comes with Intel cpu, 2k at least more than AMD cpu.

Yes, but i would wait for 7nm zen2 apu.

Once this comes out next year, intel is finished and bankrupt.

For x395, ram is soldered. You can pick 8GB or 16GB. Whether it's running in dual channel or not is unknown. If it's running single channel, that will gimp the performance big time. And yes lenovo does ship laptops with single channel ram with no other slot.

Of course, go for ips panel. R5 3500u minimum.

Why not... for example, Ryzen 2700U is almost equivalent to i7-8550U with fraction of price, some more it comes with more powerful Vega 10 GPU compared to Intel 620.

Vega 10 is powerful? hmm.gif

Not worth getting Amd mobile line up now. Better wait 7nm Zen 2 based APU. Having said that, some of the lineup are pretty comparable to Intel line up like 3500u/3700u on price/performance factor. For high end laptop gaming, Intel is the way to go with 6/8core parts.

last time yes

then the last few gens lenovo has been screwing around with thinkpad making it shit, like changing keyboard feel and layout, trackpad size and buttons, etc

just ok only. old thinkpad to be is still so much better. and in win10 it's not like the older ones are slow anyway.

really ah? thanks captain obvious rolleyes.gif

there are special kind of people buying thinkpad. it's a workhorse machine designed for typing, that's why so much emphasis was centered around the keyboard.

not caring about it, it's like buying a supercar to drive at 20kph.
