I'll share when I get back, but this is really bad mouse. Better you just gift it to someone else.

What you want is to buy silent mouse, wired or wireless. Just as long as silent.

For mouse, I will only trust Logitech, for which thus far 10/10 pleasant experiences with them, even though some of the mice got some issues after not so intense usages.

I once tried to RMA a mouse I bought for RM70ish from Lazada after 2 years of abuse, and they offered me a refund of RM90+ instead quoting that the I bought it online and can’t send through retail channel to RMA them.

Safest is to use Shopback app on phone, then click link from Shopback app.

Sure no miss.  tongue.gif

Actually my L340 order on the 14% cashback day got missed through the app. Luckily I appeal and they manage to track it. Damned 2 sleepless night for that, LOLOL...

Like that got error?
*
My guess is that Lenovo’s price guard system kick in.

I noticed that all these time this error only popped out when you insert discount code to make it cheaper than the system allowed.

Similar to P43s last time, after downgrading the 8665u to 8565u, there’s still price guard in effect that won’t let you simply have a huge discount by going base specs with 20% DUIT code.

Bullshit this is scam

Promotion Period: 1st Aug 2019 00.01 (GMT+8) – 31st Aug 2019, 23.59 (GMT +8) (inclusive) unless advised otherwise by the Organisers.

I noticed that it got extended over and over again, each time a few days, since it’s supposed ending date on 31st August.

The TnC only state by their discretion, so it’s either the 1,000,000 big points are still not fully allocated (which I somehow doubted so, as each Thinkbook can claim 10,000, so 100 thinkbooks sold and it should finish) or they just randomly extending the date as they wished without consider the bigpoints pool.

Just park here for future ThinkBook 13s users interested to know if PD charging works. (still no answer).

Thinkbook 13s-IWL + PowerBank

ThinkBook 13s (portable charging)
Using usb-c to square charger (should read this):

CODE
This is certainly possible, those angled adapters are very hit and miss (ive had nothing but trouble with em) but the cables are very good! You need a hefty powerbank with at least 65w output. For a long read check this out;

A little review and heads up on USB-C to (slim) barrel power cables.
*
You need 20V Type-C to Slim-Tip adapter.

I bought this 3rd party cable for my L340, it has a small pin hole as charging port, so I need another adapter to change from the usual 5525 size head to 4017.

Lenovo Thinkplus do have official Type-C to Slim-tip adapter as previously shown by Benefon. I bought 3rd party as I prefer the convenience of using normal C to C cable, the adapter head just need to connect laptop to the type C cable.

Actually that ZMI officially supply 45W in but only 40W out.

They now come with a GEN-2 of that which support 65W in and out.

Yeap and you still save a lot if add the warranty in the beginning instead of later.

My time didn't have the RM1 option, i bought the T495 with citibank 45%, so means even i add, it would have just discounted the total bill.

So with warranty would have been RM‭2,825.9‬ (if added the warranty that time when i bought it), as oppose to RM2,700.85 (without adding the warranty). So warranty would have been RM‭125.05‬ if i added that time when i bought it with the discount, instead of pay now RM229 for the additional 2 years warranty.
*
Warranty don’t get discounted by the 45% discount code

nah if itchy because they alot of money but usually people will change only if their notebook breaks down because newer just minor upgrade wont significant like a desktop.

Even me never consider a notebook upgrade my DELL already 4 years+ buy because can get 13S for 1k.

We don’t really have new tech that’s a much have on general laptop yet.

USB3 is still USB3.XX today, still largely the same all be it little speed different.

Type-C port, you can get an adapter to make your USB3.0 work as Type-C port, again not really a big deal.

Thunderbolt3 Type-C port, this looks like the next best thing in computer’s evolution process after USB, but it still having its fair share of limitations (can’t find on AMD system yet, less than optimum PCIE lane coverage for full eGPU performance) and little market traction out there. People are waiting for USB4 to take over the role of TB3 and having a more widespread market use.

NVME SSD is faster than your conventional SATA based SSD/HDD. But a good SATA SSD is still solid bough for your everyday run.

Features aside, what’s left that differentiate today’s and 3 years ago laptop are their CPU/GPU. For really heavy user or demanding tasks like gaming and so, the upgrades bring you closer to the performance of what a desktop (3 years ago) can offer. But for people who don’t need much performance, there isn’t much differences.

those ones still had IBM DNA inside.. different from todays chinese versions. I use a lenovo for work purposes, it usually breaks and need changing after 3 years or so.. infact, my latest 2018 model Thinkpad needs changing soon as it is leaking current from the bottom right-hand side.. every now and then I get stung by it..
*
Current leakage in metal build laptops are fairly common occurrences in laptop of all brands.

It also tells about earthing problem with your house/units, so better take note on that. If the earthing is working, you shouldt feel the shock.

"An import license is missing and is required for clearance. "

I check my item stuck at sepang customs.

I bought mine online from lenovo website
*
Normal procedures with Lenovo. My L340 suppose to reach last week according to the tracking, but apparently it’s a pseudo trigger. They probably done so to hasten the clearance process. It just got cleared custom and so today.

When charging while using the laptop?
Didn’t encounter before

Yes, if there’s current leakage you will get zapped when touching your laptop while plugged to the wall.

Can’t recall whether the zap is there when it’s not plugged; probably no such issue for unplugged.

I ordered about 5AM in the morning, most probably already hundreds are sold before me, LOL. Since this is just bag and mouse, I guess they just mass ship them out from HongKong.

This type is what I mean. But I hadn’t came across Type-C one with such design. Even apple one with 3 pins UK plug actually only have 2 pins.
