Yes yes, another one of those handfull Raki-tard out there.
Raki do plays an important role in Claymore, he is indeed unreplaceable like the others. But for now, he is not a role model for most people, might be in the future, but not now.
This reminds me of Shiro in FSN. An adopted child and a survivor from that disaster 10 years ago. In its early episodes, Shiro was quite annoying. Saying those lines like " I dont want to see a girl fight " and some gayish words of justice yet he was pathetic in combat. But ones the story evolves, Shiro was superb that almost made me stim when he summon the holy sword.
What you'r pointing about Raki's purpose in Claymore is somehow toooooo obvious and common among other animes( naruto? Fate in nanoha? etcs ) that most humans tend to ignore it. Others do not value much on how a certain char is in an anime, but how the story goes is teh pleasure. Raki existence is not the only thing that made people watch Claymore. ATM, the relationship between Raki, Pric, & Claire arent worth to be amazed.

well raki is an important cast but many just hates it for being weak in a badass anime like claymore...
i'm fine with him around clare as since the first episode i know he'll get stronger (proven true in the last episode) after all...
to me the secrets and past of the organization interest me more as how would it influence the storyline...
