cis... 30bucks also need people sponsor meh??...
means the inlet of ur hose where u fix at ur bumper.... face the hose forward so rushing air can enter through the hole.... thats for when u using open-pod filter...

if u using drop-in filter where ur cai hose connected directly to ur airbox, jz hang ur cai hose at the side inside ur bumper without the front/mouth facing the rushing air....

understand??...

nope. u face it out to suck the outside cold air..

lee's post just confused me again...no offence. I'm assuming intlet means the beginning of the tube rite? Anyway basically my CAI hose cannot be fitted at the fog light area where I initially wanted it to be...I have to fit it somewhere behind the bumper where the cold air still flows, but at a somewhat 'lower speed' is it? Any recommendation on where to fit the CAI inlet then?

haha... lee got it partially correct... for cai hose sealed to ur airbox setup, the air inlet part (where u put the air funnel) doesnt necessary to face the front... jz hang it inside ur bumper so rushing air wont cancel out the intake manifold pressure....

as for those using open-pod (like the 2nd pic i posted), the inlet of ur cai hose must face the front so rushing air from outside can feed to ur filter.....

understand mou??...

yeah, I agree...clearly putting the CAI inlet there is no different from putting at the fog light area.

how fast can you drive through flood wor. Last time I drove through the 'sea' also I went 1st gear all the way coz scare later my brakes wet and cannot stop. That should be your first worry...

CAI hose if you fit it vertically, water wouldn't easily go in. Don't make it easy for water to enter then it should be safe.

water cant enter but if CAI install too low the water block air from goin in then engine no air also die.

hmm....there is a thing called "Bypass Valve" which is install at the hose before going in throtle body. It blocks water from sucking in and bypass air to go in only as u know water is heavier than air.
But i am not sure about that item price or anything...as i am not using CAI at the moment.
