thankz Mr.Obvious  rclxms.gif
how cheap is cheap while getting disc brake can improve ur brake performance?
disc brake = rm600
drum brake = rm300 maybe?
is the rm300 saving justity ur life worthness?
1 day ur life maybe be saved by the extra braking power by the disc brake.. who knows whistling.gif
not all 1.6L car equipped with drum brake though  blush.gif
i mean other car brand
*
you mean disc brakes izzit? sweat.gif

anyway the cost is not just RM600 and it is pointless to change. Coz cars with rear drum brakes I think is designed to only use front brakes when you step on the brakes pedal. All you're doing is making a better hand-brake. You need to add the cost of connecting brake pipes to the rear...which I have never heard of anyone doing before...

if your car's brake pedal is connected to the rear then can la...but what if its not? Then changing the rear brakes are kinda pointless isn't it?

got mech do wan meh?

QUOTE(imperialrealcs @ Sep 24 2007, 04:04 PM)
btw, u ned to learn how brake works..
when u press on ur brake, all the 4 disc brake will work but not in same force (even for drum brake)
maybe 70% front n 30% back.. besides, changing to disc brake will not give u better hand-brake.. instead, u make it worst.. dont believe it?
drum brake shoe touches more on the wheel while disc brake only that small brake pad holding them.. generally, it is easier to force push a disc brake than a drum
*
you mean that we're already using all 4 brakes even if the rear is drum brakes? Can't be...I saw last time that cars with drum brakes only use the front to brake. I remember clearly coz there were diagrams to show how they work...

liao...I refresh the damn web browser until it posted 3 times sweat.gif
I don't mean totally disconnected la...just that front brakes connected to the brake pedal while rear brakes connected to the handbrake. Or at least that's how I remembered the diagram...

how I wish laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
actually a lot of 1.3cc use drum brakes out there. Kenari/Kelisa...even the MyVi use them. Not sure about buses but trucks definitely use them. And their load is so much more than our Wiras sweat.gif

Evo ar...guess that's nice. But you need to do something about the rear of the car to make it look like one. I saw someone a few days ago with Supra bodykit...wah, couldn't recognize the car at all. See the side and rear...it was a Wira laugh.gif

yupe, close to cost respray whole car?? spray whole car wanna around 1.5k wor.. some like 10% only wor spray a bumper.
*
I know some place in KL that spray the car for only RM1k...and that was my old car. I figure my car now about RM1200-1400 only...if bumper is RM150...with the side skirt maybe its about RM400-500? That amount...I think better respray whole car to the color I like better tongue.gif

for what purpose?? spot light or CAI hose?? brows.gif  brows.gif
*
well, since there's no spotlight there...and I already have spotlights at the side of the bumper...wanna remove it for better air-flow. And it does seem like a suitable place for the CAI hose later smile.gif

QUOTE(Killerz622 @ Sep 26 2007, 02:18 PM)
I dont think it can be removed....Its the part of the bumper, not a piece which locked to the whole
*
I saw someone selling his bumper...like mine...with that part removed. I think he saw it off or somethin.

@imperialrealcs/others, no offence but enough lah. That debate is going nowhere. This is most probably a case of miscommunication. The longer the conversation goes...the worse it gets. Let's shake and make up :hugs:
