I'm surveying for a relative of mine. Senior citizen. Not really tech/online geek, doesn't own cc(does have money in bank of course) hence the cash method for convenient. Internet usage per month around 7 GBs total. Call less than an hour per month. She currently on old Celcom Basic 38.
From what I've checked, that plan is: 5gb internet + 50 minutes call and sms + free Whatsapp. So far I have checked past few months she never really exceeded what's offered. Extra GBs usage probably from Whatsapp. So, plan suits her well now.
Just wondering if there's anything better these days since this is an old plan(2015 I think) not offered anymore AND Digi actually the best coverage at her place.

Are you referring to Digi 28 (SAC)? I was told that this Digi 28 (SAC) is a customer retention plan and you can only change to this plan at a Digi Store after receiving the invitation SMS from Digi.

If I do not subscribe to any other data plans for my postpaid. What will happen if 1GB is used up ?
a) no more internet usage
b) still can use, throttle down to ? kb/sec
c) automatic charge an internet plan ?
d) others ?

How is the free data much slower than your subscribed package? Either:

1. You relate the slowness of data with free gb instead of increased user, putting the load on tower, or

2. You are paranoid because of some whatsapp message saying your banking account will be hacked by using the free data, instead of installing malicious app such as zoom

hope so. i left my prepaid account to <RM1 to temporary suspend my RM1 digi unlimited to make use of the free 1gb data. save a few ringgit better than nothing. lol

nope, prepaid doesn't work that way. u pay first then u use. different from postpaid whereby u use first, then u pay.
