Hi guys, I've never used the Quantum FPP before, but am contemplating doing an online RM25k payment and using FPP to manage my cashflow.

Should I use QM or QV? (Does it make a difference?). If I use QM for example, does it mean that each monthly FPP instalment (>RM600) will get cashback? Apologies if these questions have been answered before, but I couldn't get a clear answer from the search.

Thanks in advance for advice.

Recently I topup QV --> BP to pay for government hospital bill, then convert that amount to FPP. The statement shown one lump sump of VIP so I guess the monthly installment wont get any points anymore.

May be you can use QM for the max Cb (online, RM600) then balance with QV for FPP (and get max VIP)...

Ah, thanks for sharing. Sadly I can't split my bill and must pay RM25k in one lump sum. Will use the QV for full amount then. Thanks again.

How does public bank cc cb works? One card 25 received cb another card yet received any

They calculate cb base on 1-30?

Statement date for transactions posted in the statement. So there may be potential cut off issues for transactions posted on or slightly before statement date unless the merchant is using a PBB terminal.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed / reported this:

I just got my PBB statement dated 2 Jan 2020. I hold 9 supp cards (separate statements) and have been getting separate CB since the beginning of time. This Jan 2020 statement - NO CB on supps, except on principal. This is for cards VS, QM and QV.

Anyone else experience the same?

Yepp - the longest and most lucrative "glitch" / "loophole" finally closed up.

I'm definitely NOT going to call CS. This has been a loophole which I have benefitted from since 2014, and if its ended, its just time to say goodbye and move on.

How about the VIP points? Supp cards can't earn it as well?
*
No VIP points either.

Just to clarify - all VS / QM transactions were BigPay.

All QV transactions were direct PayWave / Samsung Pay.

Principal received in full; supps received nothing.

2 Jan statement date

When is your supp card spending posted? Thanks
*
For VS and QM, all on 3 or 4 Dec.

We reload 633.25/600 BP either on statement date or next day to maximise credit period hahaha.

For QV, contactless spending throughout the month - every week got 2-3 transactions.

I just check my supp PBB statement dated 1 Jan 2020
my supp pbb vs card get cash back RM38
but other card on 7 jan need wait and check..
*
Do you mind sharing a few details?

1. Principal has same statement date of 1 Jan? If different date, what was it?

2. Did principal also receive full CB of RM38?

3. What "other card"? Does this refer to other PBB card meaning you already receive PBB VS (Principal and Supp) on 1 Jan, but your other card (e.g. Quantum) is on 7 Jan, or do you mean you have another Supp statement on 7 Jan?

Sorry for so many questions, just wanting to find out if it's a total end of PBB supp CB, or if there is still "hope".

Week 10, got full. Final transaction at 12.18.

Week 9 I was watching a movie and only topped up after. Didn't know it would be so competitive.

dry.gif Wonder why they don't want increase for me. The PBB gives me the lowest CL among my other card.

Apply new card (higher tier) if possible, I added VI and they auto-increased my CL 100%.
*
Yeh, my experience with PBB is that they have a very cautious approach to granting CL limit increases, especially after going past 2.5-3x salary (similar to MBB imo). Other banks such as Citi, SCB and HSBC usually give me more than 100k upon sign-up, but I've never been lucky with MBB or PBB despite holding their cards for more than 10 years and pretty high spending (I used to hold 4 PBB principals, 9VS supps, 3-4 QM/QV supps, 1 WMC supp).

Over the past 10 years I applied for CL increase every 1-2 years. I hit my first rejection around 2-3 years back, and then a subsequent rejection about 1.5 years ago. No reasons given. Then I applied for a PBB VI and got a 20% increase. My older cards like VS, QM, QV were still on the "old" limit, but I applied for those to be increased up to the PBB VI level and this was accepted. Since then I haven't bothered applying for a CL increase as PBB have stopped their 0% BT (which was the only reason why I wanted a CL increase anyway).

your salary 100k per month? shocking.gif

NO. The CL granted to me by those banks is several times above my monthly salary, hence why I say they are very generous.

wait first see see. probably they grant 30 + 20 separately since they marked it as "TIER 1" for RM30 today, so, likely there will be "TIER 2" for RM20

Based on previous campaign, they award the cash back separately at different dates.

SMART CASH REWARDS TIER - MTH 1 -> capped at RM 30
SMART CASH REWARDS BONUS - MTH 1 -> capped at RM 20

I got my 30 + 20 posted today, see screenshot
