I would think so. The CC receipt always states that it's contactless.
I applied for Quantum Visa on 23 July, got the SMS yesterday morning. So it's about two weeks for me.

Anyone with good credit standing, earn more than what is required by the card, yet still got their application rejected?

I called them up to check, but the CS said there's no reason for the rejection.

I'm finding this very odd.

FWIW, I applied via Ringgit Plus
*
I applied via RP on 21 July. RP tried call me over several days (missed call) finally in the end I manage to pick up for phone verification.
No news from PBB so far, but I can see in CCRIS got PUBLIC status=Pending

can go to those agent rather than visit to Jalan Dato Onn for the first time pin?

*
It took me >6 months to finally able to plan my way there due to personal/work schedules, and whether driving/LRT. As there is limited parking there, I took LRT to SoGo, but walk opposite towards BNM at Jalan Dato Onn. After that, decide to walk to Jalan Tun Perak to run other errands.

I don't know about agents or use them.

Recent weeks, PBB QM (5%) and VS (6%), spend >RM500 each, both cards receive RM25 rebate each for SST.

Call the number at the back of the card.

Hi sifus, wanted to make PB VS, my first PB credit card. Saw only sign up offer from Ringgit plus (180 lazada e voucher). Any other places offering good sign up offers that I should check out too? Thanks in advance!
*
This is the best offer for PBB. Not sure they are changing the RM180 Lazada voucher into some luggage promo already or not.
I've just redeem the code via Lazada app mobile.

Another good offer is HSBC RM500 voucher? I read somewhere for Mastercard (not sure over already or not). Then Visa is separate offer RM250 IINM.

Tried with hotlink app, and also foodpanda app. After entering TAC and confirm, it will say transaction failed

I use QM top-up BigPay a few hours earlier than you, no problem get TAC and confirm transaction.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ May 3 2020, 12:57 PM)
How does Public Bank calculate the cashback reversal for refund transaction? Example below for 6% VS:

March
Spending A = RM100 (CB = RM6)
Spending B = RM800 (RM=RM48)
Total CB = RM38 (cap at RM38)

April
Spending B is refunded.

So the CB reversal is just RM32 (RM38-RM6) or the whole RM38 or RM48?
*
Just to share a similiar (not exact) encounter, not PBB CC, but my MBB CC previously.

Assuming you do not spend or any other transactions. Two scenarios here:
1) CB not yet receive yet, you will get RM6 cashback for the RM100 Spending A
2) CB already received RM38 max cap. The following month after, CB will deduct RM38 (based on RM800 = RM48 CB) from you.

See the difference from the bank in clawing back rebates ?

QUOTE(MGM @ May 4 2020, 12:15 PM)
What if it is like 6 months after transaction, like cancellation of flights?
*
Same as #2 above. The bank will claw back the rebate from you or contra with whatever your current spending month cashback.
i.e. You still need to pay back the rebate/cashback.

However, if the CC is cancelled, the bank could still chase you back for the RM38. The bank could also write it off and won't chase you. So be prepared for worst case, just in case.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ May 4 2020, 02:25 PM)
Yes, the exact reason I raised this up. The thing is now, it appears that the bank took the total CB disregarding the cap (ie RM48 based on the example). I am not able to get exact calculation no matter how I calculate it. Still waiting for the bank to show the calculation
*
You mean the bank claw back RM48 cashback from you ? They can only claw back RM38 max though. Although I know you hope the bank only claw back RM32 (the same hope I have with MBB CC previously).

For top up into BigPay, call PBB up. It seems recently in May/June, PBB claim they have implemented additional measure, after several (maybe 3x) it will be "blocked". They need to manually release/key-in something into their system while you call them up and reload BigPay and repeat the unlock after every single top-up doh.gif 6x RM100 = done within minutes.

So just need to get blocked one time and after unblock from that "1st block", then can reload to BP unlimitedly?
*
No, my case topup 3x RM100, then "blocked" (BigPay shows "Oops! Something went wrong"). Call PBB and chit chat ask why. They say need to unlock every single time.
So he unlock one time, I topup 4th RM100.
Then unlock again (I can hear he press few keyboard keys and final-whack most likely Enter key), then I topup RM100.
repeat Nth time until either you are satisfied, or the CS curse you rclxub.gif

is this only applicable to BP or any spending that's done continuously within short period of time?
*
No idea, I only use this card to top-up into BP. Centralised my CC (where applicable for cashback) and then use BP for all spending. Never withdraw from BP before (yet).

i don't think PBB block, cos yday the 5th unable to go thru BP and i try others ok
today rhb also got blocked on 4th and others ok
definitely something fishy on BP side
*
Well, why I mention "blocked" in quotes, is means it blocked for repetitive transaction to the same merchant. I did not try to use the CC for other transactions. The moment I called up PBB, within <10 seconds they ask me try again, and voila, it works. I ask them if I top up again now will be block ? They say Yes. So I say, unblock me again. Voila, it works. Repeat Nth time until done.

Could be RHB (and other banks) also has implemented additional "blocking" for repetitive transactions to the same merchant ?

QUOTE(skty @ Jun 16 2020, 10:10 PM)
if this is true, then they implemented additional measure against multiple transaction on one merchant.

because many have no problem to continue use the card to transact with other merchant after the first merchant get blocked.
*
yeah, that's my uneducated guess. Anyone want to try multiple transactions into others like PayPal, Amazon, etc. ? It may even require certain amount like RM100. Maybe multiples RM1 / USD1 may not able to reproduce the scenario.

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Jun 16 2020, 11:24 PM)

Thought it has been like this for years?  Encountered this when UOBPayonline was still available where you can pay multiple merchants at one go, but PBB will block on 3rd transaction.
*
Nope, in March/April 2020, just few months ago, I was doing RM50 and RM80 multiple top-ups more than 3x without issue. Same CC, same bank.

I remember you have to pay ALL outstanding including those that you swiped but not billed yet. Everything until zero. Once the 18% kicks in, there is no more 20 days grace period. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm afraid I can't answer beyond that, as I don't have personal experience on this. Perhaps other forummers can help advise.
I always ensure I make full monthly statement payment before the due date.
