Finally got the rm50 cb for month 6 of CB PARADE campaign after calling CS to appeal. Hope the next 2 months got no such headache.

Lol, after called cs for mth 6 PARADE CB, and got it too after 2 days, now the e-wallet rm80 mth 2 CB is missing....

and told me can use points to offset.... i checked statement...tak cukup to offset...ok la...

Hi folks, just want to give you all a heads up regarding Shopee and Public Bank credit cards, especially if you use your CCs for eWallet cashback. I noticed since last month that somehow, Public Bank either records the transaction date before or after the actual date, and you need to call up their customer service to rectify it.

The first time I had issues was for the MasterCard RM80 CB campaign where my ShopeePay reload was somehow recorded as a transaction a day before.

The second instance was when I reloaded my ShopeePay on the last day of my statement cycle sometime around 7pm, which somehow their system failed to capture, so my monthly cashback was reduced accordingly.

Both times I emailed their customer service, for the first instance their customer service helped me rectify the problem manually and I got the campaign cashback, but for the second instance this is the answer I got (which I feel is utter rubbish):
I just called them up to express my dissatisfaction with their answer pointing out that all their cardholder T&C says is "statement cycle" and that in my opinion, what should be taken into account with is my transaction date not the posting date, they argued that their T&C makes no distinction between the two, just "statement cycle".

Finally I asked them to just escalate to management to see if can get approval for the disputed cashback.

TLDR version - Public Bank CCs and Shopee don't go well haha, don't wait to do your top ups on the last day like me.

My problem with them is that for the second instance it wasn't a backdating issue and in any case their practice was inconsistent. Also when I pointed out that their T&C only says "statement cycle" so therefore the posting/transaction date point shouldn't be an issue, they actually said they will never put it in their cardholder agreement. Like that easy lo for them to just arbitrarily record the dates so they can avoid paying out cashback, no? After all the customer can't control the posting date and whenever the system wants to capture the so-called transaction date.

btw..another stupid question...

supposed if i straight away purchase an item worth RM1k online...i would have meet the RM1k minimum retail transaction + get the 20% cashback?

Is there a limit to how many times can pump petrol in a day? I pumped 3x already and got declined on the 4th pump.
