Actually. many reported they get free credit cards after taking housing loans. Maybe it's gray area. I was even offered (pre-approved) cards i dont qualify.

Was charged SST RM25 for my Public Islamic Bank Visa Platinum on 8 May. Following week, call CS for rebate. Say already put in request to management for rebate.

1 week later, nothing happened. I call CS again and ask what happened to the rebate. then CS come back say oh, now need to spend RM300 within 60 days in order to get rebate.

So I spend RM300+ over the last weekend. Today call CS again to check my card transaction and initiate rebate in the morning.
Only few minutes ago received the rebate.

Lately their Islamic Bank cards all having problem. Transactions captured late. CC statement also send late. CS claimed they are migrating their system.

Just wondering, for those monthly installments (flexipay), is it consider as transaction/swipe? this is for the annual fee waiver with 12 swipes.

Last month when sst were charged, rebate were already given without points redemption.
May be can call again to redeem and rm25 will be credited, but takut they reversed prev rebate.

PB Visa Sig got charged RM25 SST last week.
Called CS yesterday during lunch, asking for rebate. Say will ask for management approval.
By end of day, rebate reflected in system already.

Arguing with CS not going to pay for service tax as I have/did not use the card after service tax was charged. The CS insisted me to pay for it, and lastly agreed to put in a request for me. I'd like to cancel my CC so requested to reverse this service tax.

May I ask if there is any link I could prove or show to the bank that customers do not have to pay for the service tax based on the scenario above - do not agree to continue with the card/service. My card was expired last month, did not receive the new credit card so not yet activated or used the card at all.
