Aeon starts to implement contactless for their parking today. I try with PB QV.

If already know the mcc, then use it to compare with the one in term and condition of the said card.

I am referring to the ongoing 3%/5% promotion. The T&C dint really state the excluded mcc.

“Qualified Retail Transactions” shall include all local retail spending and new
Zero Interest Instalment Plan (ZIIP) full purchase amount (not monthly
instalment) and excludes the transactions that earn Cash Back under other
on-going Cash Back promotion, online purchases, flexipay, balance
transfer, auto-debit, recurring payments, payments for utilities, direct
marketing, insurance premiums, government related payments, payment
via www.pbebank.com and ATM, cash advance/ cash withdrawal, quasi
cash, casino transaction, interest payments, late payment fees, finance
charges, annual fees, reversals, payment to charity(ies) and any form of
service/ miscellaneous fees.

Not sure does it fall under any form of service/miscellaneous fees.

Didn't say equals to eligible.
Provided your payment method is offline (terminal).

I’m confused. Someone managed to pay contactless more than RM250? I thought it’s impossible?

Can pay by contactless but after tab /wave then need to enter pin.

It depends on how the terminal is configured.
If amount is greater than RM 250, it can either deny it or trigger for PIN input.

For sure everyone will be loading into BigPay, Boost and etc.
This is not the 1st time PBB does similar campaign.
Previous one is just 1/2 week back to back.

Just that not sure eligible for cashback or not. Just maybe treat it as no cashaback. So we shall wait for CardNoob feedback on it next week.

Just to report here, myNews accept payWave. But since my amount only 2.20, I used Citi to fulfill the 8 transactions.

Which Citibank card needs to swipe 8 transactions to trigger for cash back?

Minimum spend per transaction for cashback is RM30

If you have used Bigpay to pay before, it is under "Entertainment". MCC79xx is not excluded for 3%/5% campaign.

If you have RHB VS, you can get 1%/2%/6% Entertainment CB for MCC79xx. Can be better than 3%/5% offered by PB.

Just paid contactless pin entry RM675 x2 with two principals QV cards

I know min. is 30. But I just want to try out the contactless parking system. I found out that there is a surcharge of 10%. Normally parking at Aeon is RM1. But my PB online pending transaction is RM1.10. In this case, same as TnG system.
