hi, need help on choosing laptop

budget rm 5k max

- using it for words, powerpoint, excel etc. browisng and media player
- weight less than 1.2kg
- screen must be clear n bright nontouch. minimum bezel
- screen size 12 inch to 14 inch
- battery last all day work. (browsing, microsoft osffice etc)
- nice travel distance for keyboard.
- if possible, some securities like figerprint scanner or face recoginition etc
- good build laptop, not the flimsy one.
- mandatory port must have usb 3.0 (the normal usb port thing)
- bonus, chargeable using type c. if available only. so i can just use my hp charger to charge it.

lightweight, long lasting battery and screen brightness/clarity are really important for me.

Both are completely different type

Usage? Preferred max weight and min battery life?

If you're talking about durability, business laptops (eg Thinkpad, Latitude, Elitebook) > consumer grade laptops. Though this is an entirely different story

That depends on how heavy your workload....if it isn't that heavy then can consider lower spec business laptops (no need to spend 7.5k)

Thinkpad X1E G2 / P1 G2 don't have good cooling despite more powerful specs

Get R7 only if you need the slightly better iGPU

300 nits vs 400 nits in T495s or 300 nits X395 vs 400 nits T495s?

The warranty upgrade depends on you, personally I think 3 yr premier onsite is good enough

Vega 8 is about the performance of MX150 10W with dual channel RAM and higher power limit

No problem, you're welcome
