Hi,
looking for a laptop for my brother overseas, any recommendations is welcomed

1. Budget : 2.5-3k
2. Usage : school use, word, powerpoint, some light-medium games (csgo mainly)
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) :
- display size 15.6 ips (good panel is welcomed but not needed)
- weight < 2 kg
- good battery life, around 8 hours (school)
- if can include a gpu can bump up the budget abit more
- self upgrade (more ram, more storage ssd)

Old laptop is too slow and outdated. Would like to get a decent long lasting laptop with the following criteria:

1. Budget : +- 3k
2. Usage : ACAD, Microsoft office, excel, project, Chrome. No gaming at all.
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : not too heavy, 13 or 14 inch, decent battery life and most importantly durable.

10210U is no different compared to 8250U. Cannot match H CPU due to power and thermal limitations

Unfortunately there aren't many decent 15 inch laptops with dGPU and good battery life under RM3k nowadays, can consider E595 but battery life probably 6-7 hrs

XPS 15 has many issues, not recommended

What about XPS13? I found a XPS13 promo that has roughly same price as that XPS15 link that I posted before,
if the issues are not that major for the 15 I would rather get the 15, I like the design of Dell XPS series which is my number 1 priority

Thanks for your recommendation. I bought the x395 with some upgrades and still below 3k. Can use code SHOP10 from shopback apps to get additional 10% discount on top of the Lenovo 1111 promo and cashback.

at last i bought the Y540 (i5-9300H, 8gb ram, 1660ti, 256gb m2 + 1tb hdisk, 144hz screen and 2yrs premium warranty) since i want the keyboard light to be white or else i would opt for the Y7000SE with better specs (i already have the red keyboard light with my current msi laptop)..pwp for RM1 got the lenovo M200 RGB mouse, Lenovo H300 headset, Lenovo Recon Gaming backpack and the lenovo mousepad..

i use the LENXCIMB and purchased with shopback..original price is RM5250, the LENXCIMB gave me RM1049.80 discount (around 20%) and shopback gave me RM570.24 (around 14%)..so my final price is RM3629.96 which i think is a good price for the specs above compared to other brands..
