just wanna reconfirm one thing. i'm gonna restring my guitar from 10-46 to 10-52 so i think i gotta adjust the action after i restring?
correct me if i'm wrong, but to adjust the action i have to adjust the truss rod a bit to set the bow right and turn the screws on my tune-o-matic bridge am i right? another thing, if i restring my guitar and remove my bridge, the tuning screws won't move right? so i won't have to make further adjustments ? |

adjust the bridge for intonation, only if your intonation is out.
adjust the truss road for neck relief, only if there's fret buzz i'm using the ibanez low noise cable too. yea.... buzzing/crackling noise when the wire is bent. This post has been edited by soulfly: Aug 6 2007, 10:58 PM |

well, probably need to adjust height to compensate the thicker string(if your action is crazy low). by adjusting the height, the intonation may and may not be affected, depends on how much the action was adjusted. the neck, i myself am not sure. like most people said on my previous question, it depends on the neck itself. necks don't reacts the same. just go trial and error

Yeah.... I saw that already.... and like Rossie says.... if Zakk ain't playing it........
For just an extra RM400..... I can get the Ceriatone JCM800 head already. Throw in about RM500 for a 2 speaker cab, And I have half of Zakk's Half Stack...... which makes mine a 1/4 stack Maybe will dump in cheap speakers first, as I will save up and get the EVM Black Label Speakers (http://www.zzounds.com/item--ELVBLACKLABEL). Overkill..... I know! Added on August 7, 2007, 7:44 pmOk, another thing...... I have my Rock School performance Grade 6 exams next year.... I don't really need it.... but I want to get a guitar for performance..... budget around the RM2500 mark...... I already have my heart set on an Ibanez S...... but I can't find a 24 fret S so I might be looking at something else...... How about the JEM555? Any comments on that? Does anyone know how to replace a new in-jack with the old one?
My bass guitar is creating noisy sound, do you think is the jack problem? |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Aug 7 2007, 12:27 PM) Ok, another thing...... I have my Rock School performance Grade 6 exams next year.... S-series are always 22-fretters. Even Satriani's signature series, which is based on the S-series, also 22-fretters.I don't really need it.... but I want to get a guitar for performance..... budget around the RM2500 mark...... Which is why I'm hoping Herman Li's custom guitar would be turned into a Signature guitar....
But he flat out denied that there is a Signature model in the works during the clinic...... but he also added the cryptic "We'll have to wait and see next year" at the end of his sentence....... |
