what is a gpu/gcu(_ _ unit? lol)?haiz...so many short term i don't know when i browse lyn...only remember this one

Not to be rude but, a simple google search on "GPU" will give you the answer.

It's basically the graphic card's processor.

GPU = Graphic Processing Unit

Graphic card = the PCB board + GPU + onboard RAM + capacitors + wadever other stuff that makes a graphic card work

helo. i have another questions on vista and hard disk. i have about 2gb of free space in my vista system partition. and i experience a slight lagging sometimes. could this due to this lack of free space. i'm planning to add another hd, so will it cure this. thanks

erm i have a question ... lets say now im having 2x1gb rams ... i want to upgrade ... if i buy a 2gb ram and change with one of the 1gb ram will it work?

If your motherboard support dual channel, i suggest you either remain your 2x1GB RAMs or upgrade to 2x2GB RAMs then sell off your old RAM !
Don't forget 4GB RAM will only fully utilize on XP 64bits or Vista Service Pack 1.

how to know if my mobo support dual channel or not? and im using vista basic 32bit ... i think only utilize max 3gb ... dats y i wanna change ... if i buy 2x2gb maybe its a waste coz im on low budget now

Hey guys, Im looking to get a new pc. but for now, I'm contemplating on whether to get the AMD x2 6000+ or the intel E5200.

Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of both processors?

I cant seem to get any more infos on the two processors.

it would be weird if they doesn't...

as for the RAM problem, pls refer to the 3GB not 4GB thread in Vista forum

i noe ... my os max 3gb only ... the prob is now i have 2x1gb rams ... i would like to change 1x1gb ram with 1x2gb ram ... so total would be 3gb ... can it work ah?

Yes, it will.

And your OS max is not 3gb.. It's 3.25gb-ish. biggrin.gif

that .25gb-ish cannot get the ram unless wanna get 256mb ram which need extra slot that i dont have ... so i will get 1x2gb ram ... or if i wait next week can buy kingstons hyper x ram at rm160 thumbup.gif

Well, are you gonna OC the RAM? If not then waste money only buy performance RAM..
