SLI is the name of nvidia's version of using 2 GC or more for more processing power

a mobo that has 2 pci-e slots does not means it support sli for sure, cos there's also ATI's version, the CrossFire.

and yes, even if u have an SLI or CrossFire board, you can use any cards on it, not necessarily must have 2 GC only can run. any single PCI-e cards will usually works on SLI/Crossfire.

no need connect to internet also can?

looks like this cable very hard to find leh, can i use this cable to ply games with frends through LAN?
*
crossover cable is strictly for communications between the connected pc, no internet is involved
as for gaming, i think it's possible, as long as u get ur ip settings correctly
i tried copying files from other pc using crossover cable before, just set ur computers to the same ip range, say ur fren 192.168.100.1, urs should be 192.168.100.**

Hi, i wanted to ask wheta a 3.5" external hdd can be used with a laptop ?
if no, why?
if yes, wat are the diffs? besides size and weight, etc
*
yes, but mainly 3.5" need a standalone ac adaptor, which means u need an extra plug point for it to be powered up
if u are on the go, and using battery alone, 3.5" ext. hdd are not recommended

thanks for the reply smile.gif
a few more questions, wat r the largest amount of storage currently available in market for 2.5" external hdd?
and where can i find average price range in breakdown according to storage sizes for 2.5"?
*
if not mistaken, highest capacity now is 250gb for 2.5"
bear in mind tat not all casing support this capacity
u need to check with shops for capalang casing
you can obtain information for branded 1s from their site
price breakdown can be obtained from lowyat.net front page price list

Hi guys... I wanted to ask how to differ GPU ddr3 and 2?
*
it's usually stated in the specs on the box

usually reviews will mention it

blink blink?
wat model and which indicator is blinking?
usually if u call streamyx hotline, they will say if the DSL is blinking it's a sign of ur connection to the server.
or the blink u are talking about is just there to indicate internet activity
provide model and even better a picture of the problem

cos static charge can overload the delicate cpu electronics components lor by overcurrent
but usually, problems like static charge dun occur in humid weather like us, unless u are kinda special and have a lot of static charges naturally

QUOTE(Nashraf @ Jul 16 2008, 08:56 AM)
i understand to get dual channel memory, i need to install 2 sticks of the same brand, capacity and speed...recently i add another 512 stick to my lappy so now the total ram is 1gb...1 stick is hynix 512mb ddr2 667 while the other 1 is kingston 512mb ddr2 533..but how come when i check cpu-z, it said my ram configuration is in dual channel mode?
*
brand is not a factor, only size and speed
usually ppl just recommend using the same brand as sometimes different brand might have compatibility problem, but kinda rare

what is the maximum ram for window XP actually ?? 4GB ??? icon_question.gif
so far, i thought its maximum is 2GB only ...  doh.gif
*
depending on the version
32-bit OS such as windows XP, Vista only support up to 4gb due to limited memory addressing space
but then, the max 4gb also includes some other stuffs such as graphic card rams and some other misc stuffs
64-bit OS can support much higher than that

if the processor attached to a mobo and running?
if yes, u can easily run programs like cpu-z to see
if not, there's also the method of checking the serial code on the processor
