Hi guys,
Appreciate if u all can recommend lenovo below 3k (have to buy 2 units for 2 son), cheaper is better
Prefer x wait too long for shipping.
Nothing you can get within 3 - 6 business days that will go below RM3K

This is the closest:

But if you're willing to wait 1 month, you can get this:

ooh man, I paid using direct deposit
Just buy again using credit card lah
The previous order just have to wait for the refund. You will definitely get your money back if you have submitted the cancellation request. Just need some time to get the money back

My order of 8 ThinkBook 14 (Custom Order Unit) shipped out date keep changing
Gile la

There are the dates:
1. 30 December 2020
2. 14 January 2021
3. 17 February 2021
4. 4 March 2021
5. 2 February 2021

But as per my conversation with Lenovo customer service through email, they mentioned that the confirmed shipped out date is 17 February 2021

she57 I suggest you to choose the 2nd option. The hardware specs are way higher than the first one and the delivery should only take between 2 - 4 weeks

Quite urgent actually. Online class start today 😅
Then choose the first option
But then it will still take 1 - 2 weeks for it to arrive at your doorstep as they still have to ship it from China / Singapore

If you need it urgently then you will have to buy ready stocks from Shopee / Lazada
Don't expect them to be cheap and as same specs as per my suggestions

Ive found t460 refurbished at shopee
How much are they?
Or, you can just rent laptops while waiting for the new laptop to arrive

Just rent some old laptops that costs RM150 per month (per unit)
The new laptop will only take 1 month to arrive, so should be fine

Also, what about borrowing some laptops from your workplace
My workplace offered it for free for the employees

If yes, any recommendation for best configuration? budget under 2.8k. Not a gamer but would like it to have an SSD so that it wont constantly freeze.

Coupons LIMITEDTIME and FRONTLINER (make sure to remove the space before and after the coupon word)
Anyone looking for a budget deal, try E15 gen 2 (custom build, make sure to choose IPS, WIFI6, fingerprint) using LIMITEDTIME for RM2494.
THINKSAVE will give you even higher discount

im currently chatting with the CS to cancel the order
To me order cancellation is faster through email to mycs@lenovo.com
No need to wait for approval, they will come back to me within a few hours to ask for confirmation that I want to cancel the order and after I reply to that email to confirm my cancellation, they will email me again in a few hours to notify that the order has been cancelled. No need to wait for 3 working days
QUOTE(mindspring @ Jan 25 2021, 09:30 AM)
should i wait for my order to get cancelled first before making new order
That's up to you bro. If you have the funds, just proceed with the new order
The previous order will be cancelled anyway if you bought a custom to order unit not a pre-built unit

If you don't have the funds, just wait until the previous order is cancelled

Is this cancellation only acceptable if Lenovo fails to meet the delivery date?
Nope. As long as they have not shipped out your unit, you can still cancel
If they already ship, then kenot do anything lor

And ofcourse you can also cancel if they failed to deliver within the promised time frame
QUOTE(langstrasse @ Jan 25 2021, 02:12 PM)
I'm curious since their website states "Lenovo eShop does NOT accept order cancellation or adjustment once the order is placed.".
Ignore that

8 weeks plus for shipping is too long.
Why not buy the ready-to-ship unit that can be shipped in 3 - 6 business days?

QUOTE(mizi28 @ Feb 2 2021, 01:27 AM)
What do you think of this spec ?
Should've went with Core i5 instead
Dual core is not enough for anything these days. Especially if you open huge excel file with tons of formulas

That spec to me only enough for online classes for kids
Also, ship more than 8 weeks? Good luck buddy. Seriously. Talking based on my own experience

My 8 units of ThinkBook 14 original ship date was supposed to be 30 December 2020, but it got delayed until 28 January 2021 bangwall.gif
I just got the email yesterday from Lenovo that my order was shipped on 28 January 2021

Why need 3 years warranty?
What kind of question is that?
The longer the warranty, the better. So you know within 3 years, your laptop is covered against any hardware failure
QUOTE(xiaobaiwm @ Feb 3 2021, 01:28 AM)
And also win pro?
Some functions like BitLocker requires Windows 10 Pro, you can't use BitLocker on Windows 10 Home

anyone has experience with buying the laptop that ships more than 8 weeks, but in the end they cancel your order because no more units available?
They already cancel or they ask you to cancel?
Also, what model did you order? Is it the ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 you were talking about before?

prefer its less gamer look compared to legion series
It's not just about the gamer look
Legion is built better than the IdeaPad Gaming

Stronger body & a much much better heatsink to handle the heat from both the CPU & GPU
