Is thinkpad e14 worth the extra few hundred ringgit over ideapad 3 amd for basically the same specs?

Build quality different. Whether its worth is up to you. But it is not the same just because of the same specs.

I bought the E14 Gen. 3 for company staff use a few weeks ago.
I think it is okay with options to upgrade RAM, SSD at a later date and you have more choices for the display to choose now. I think there is a 300 nits 100%sRGB option now.
Most happy is the keyboard and battery at 57Wh.
Not happy is I think my staff told me there is no physical privacy shutter on the webcam.

Personal preference thing.

Mine same date exactly as yours. Tonight they shipping out from China. I had a feeling like they bulk ship and then split them upon reaching Malaysia. But knowing it's UPS, just expect it to be exactly 24 August or later when it reaches you, lousiest international courier in Malaysia.

Anyone with shipment date on Aug 24?

Guys, I ordered ThinkPad E14 on 29-7-2021 and they only delivered the mouse to me so far. It had been two weeks and there wasn't any update about shipping info.

Few days ago, I realized that the bank had already released my debit charge so I was really baffled. Yesterday when I made phone call to the Hotline to get some order update info and the agent told me that the item will be shipped within 6-8 weeks instead of 4 weeks as advertised in product catalogue from Lenovo's website. I found it a bit too long to wait for up to 2 months so I decided to purchase another laptop using the released fund. Unfortunately, today morning I received email notification from Lenovo informing that it will be shipped by today out of sudden, tonight just now I just received Lenovo shipment notification. It's SHIPPED from China now. 😱😱😱 Actually today morning I just contacted Lenovo to cancel the order and the PIC informed me that they had reinstated my order, so I felt like they didn't want to cancel my order. In fact, I requested to cancel my order through live chat yesterday night before any shipment update. The worst thing is the another laptop I just ordered yesterday it's also already shipped... How lah now? Sy xde duit beli dua laptop leh.... Right now the only solution is to reject my Lenovo laptop at the doorstep already? 😭😭😭
