That's the evidence to show that it's software issue, not a hardware issue. Somehow the phone has problem using cpuz. Luckily one plus community is good at update and fixing. Just need to wait for them to sort it out.

Did they ever mention when they will ship out the 8gb variant? Since they said they already have stock, i do hope they will send them out in these few days....

Didn't someone said the local stock (the 8gb and 12gb ram models) already arrived in mobile2go? But nothing happened on my side. The status still is processing. And I thought they would ship out the phones last night. I am too naive. In other words, if you pre-order, then you need to wait.

No wonder xianfeng said they only gave a few units to other sellers. Perhaps that's the reason why we can't get our phones earlier. Because there's not enough stock at all to do this.

Stock or no stock, doesn't matter anymore. If want to get the phone now, go get it in physical store ya. As for the pre-order, wait ya. Walk in customers are more important ya.

I won't have high hope on that. Stock arrived this Friday, they sure will only post out on next Monday. The delivery will only start on next day Tuesday. Wednesday is Hari Raya. The chances of delay is too high. The earliest we can get is after Raya.

Of course I hope my assumption is wrong.


It's not that I can't wait. But thinking that we need to wait for
2-3 weeks even we pre-order, all the hype is gone. Lol.

Ya I know. Not only pre-order, Samsung is also very fast with their stock replenishment. Basically if you want to buy Samsung phones, pre-order/roadshow/online promotion, your choice. Its not when the phone will reach you. It's another way around. It's when you can go to grab your phone. Lol.

Guys, don't waste your time on complaining the price. It's not Oneplus fault. Xianfeng is the one to be blamed.

Someone from facebook posted this reply from OnePlus regarding Xianfeng's pricing.

So ya. Xianfeng won't care about the other competitors because they are only distributor, not the company Oneplus itself. As long as Oneplus don't plan to bring in their business into Malaysia, we probably won't see any competitive price on Oneplus phones in here any time soon.

If Oneplus is speaking the truth, then yes. No surprise in there though, since their local pricing doesn't make sense at all especially the gap between base model and higher end model.

Anyway, I guess anyone can be distributor, as long as you have the money and resources.

They mentioned those countries they "served" to. It doesn't matter whether they mention about China since everyone should have knew that China is the origin birthplace of Oneplus. I guess that reply is specifically forwarded to International market buyers outside of China.

Official lazada/shopee stores? I don't think it got anyhting to do with Oneplus. It's all operated by the local distributor. And yes. OP Malaysia facebook is handled by local distributor. First was brightstar, then closed and switched to Mi han. And now it's Xianfeng's turn.


In short, there's no Oneplus Malaysia in here. Oneplus Malaysia = local distributor. I think most of us would have already learned about this by now.

Most of the retailers keep saying that stock coming in today or tomorrow, while the main distributor keep saying that next week only have stock.

So who we gonna trust? Lol.

I suggest we shoudn't keep our expectations too high. As a Chinese proverb said，the more your expect the more disappoinment you would get.

That's what Oneplus claimed. I don't know why they don't recognize Xianfeng as their authorised dealer. As the matter of fact, they indicated that Xianfeng is third party seller. That's why i assumed all those sole/main distributor excuses are all BS. Xianfeng is a "self-claim" authorized distributor. Just stick their Xianfeng logo on the box and voila, it's official Malaysia set. LOL (Xianfeng sticker screenshot below).

Honestly, other than that screenshot from Oneplus, I have no proof to support my above theory. But I tend to believe that Oneplus's explanation is somewhat legit due to following points:

1. Poor "official" launching. Quality near to 3gp video level.

2. Nonsense pricing gap. They did explain why. But the reason is ridiculous (screenshot of their reply was posted last week inside this thread, if you want to read it).

3. Unconfirmed stock delivery. Keep pusing sana sini on the delivery date. Tell me. What kind of main distributor that cannot confirm what exact date their stock will arrive?


As for warranty, Xianfeng has 8 service centres in Malaysia. They did mention that they also willing to repair AP sets, by imposing repair fees of course.

As for your last question, no idea at all. So far, none of us has received any units directly from Xianfeng. We need to check the package inside especially the charging brick (2 pin or 3 pin) only can tell which country it came from.


Anyway, no points to argue about their legitimacy. Authorized or not, it doesn't matter. You just need to know only 1 fact, that is, as long as you want to have Malaysia warranty, you have no choice but to buy from Xianfeng stocks. Period.
