I really want to get a 360 now. I see that the Elite US version is up on gamershideout site but when is the Asian version coming? And what is the projected price?

I dont feel like getting a step down transformer.

BUt all this waiting around might just make me get the US version after all. i so want to play GOW.

And can someone tell me why the heck no one seems to talk bout the Elite here or anywhere else for that matter?

This actually depends on the market for the asia country.

Hence why U/S version has it cause if not mistaken (there always want to be the 1st )

and mostly all thier TV are HD ready.

Maybe they see Asia country doens't have much HD supports?

but anyway, rumors are saying Asia Version are coming on late july~.

I've read articles on the less than lukewarm reception that the Elite received on launch day in the States. People were buying Wii instead.

DjiNn, could you please fill me in on the less than obvious cons of getting the US version now? How much is the transformer going to cost me? How much of a hassle would the transformer really be?

maybe i could stick wit region free games only and buy the US games from Amazon?

well hard to say... there is hong kong/taiwan/china/singapore coutnry would love the elite version to be coming out~.

but that depends on Microsoft as well.

this is what I say.

the elite version. you have to stick with U/S Games. A Step down transformer (RM 200 at least).

^ seems like the most important feature of the Elite for you is the HDMI port.

i think by the end of this year, with 65nm processors, they might update their premium package to include HDMI port also. the problem is that u'lll have to wait much longer.

why don't u buy a premium now (2nd hand is cheaper) and sell it off when the HDMI model comes in NTSC/J flavor?

US games will cost you around rm220 and above lah my friend. if you got no prob with an important thing called $$$ then go ahead with US elite version.

Actually Asian games range from MYR 150-170 and US games range from MYR210-230

anyway is it this ELITE thingy already fix up to prevent 3 ROD problem?? damnnn it feel so scary when i type 3 ROD.. even i dont have xbox360 for now.. ahahaha

nope. Elite will have the 3 RODS.. there is no way to run away that "FEAR".

yea, i'm as curious as haplo too...I Can't afford 2buy a premium ver then few months later, sell it 2get the Elite ver (sorry yea 360friends, no offence 2u all)

i might have to get an elite.. my console is 3RoD and i might as well grab the HDMI upgrade since my set up can use it ... my console is being emo again... 3rod twice yesterday and now today also twice... stranglely though it was working last night and then this afternoon just not now

dood out of the ps3 + 360, despite its problems i would have it over ps3... its more fun in terms of games... and ease of use.. maybe just cos im not used to ps3.. but the only game i really find fun is resistance and F1CE...and maybe motorstorm..... Xbox? got so many, halo2, gears, rainbowsix, GH2, forza2.. the list goes on..
