I really want to get a 360 now. I see that the Elite US version is up on gamershideout site but when is the Asian version coming? And what is the projected price?

I dont feel like getting a step down transformer.

BUt all this waiting around might just make me get the US version after all. i so want to play GOW.

And can someone tell me why the heck no one seems to talk bout the Elite here or anywhere else for that matter?

What if Microsoft chooses not to release the Asian version? Or am i just being crazy?

I've read articles on the less than lukewarm reception that the Elite received on launch day in the States. People were buying Wii instead.

DjiNn, could you please fill me in on the less than obvious cons of getting the US version now? How much is the transformer going to cost me? How much of a hassle would the transformer really be?

maybe i could stick wit region free games only and buy the US games from Amazon?

And here i thought i was doomed to wait longer. But...then again like you said, would it it be great product or not? Third party manufacturers almost always screws it up. dats why when it comes to accessories, people stick with the OEM because OEM knows best.

Plus there's the technical disadvantage of converting component which is an analog signal to HDMI which is a digital signal. There's a loss in the conversion.

Got excited only to be disappointed again after checking round the web.

Plus i've read that towards Christmas, they'll be releasing an Upgraded Core and Premium series with the HDMIs.

And don't forget the talk bout the new, faster and cooler 65nm processor. Could it be included in the Chrismast series launch too?

Then what's the point at all of releasing the Elite now?

If i were to splurge on the US Elite now i could be missing out on a cheaper new series Premium with a faster chip come tis December!!! And don't forget u need to add a few months to that because lame ass Microsoft can't release the Asian version at the same time! I thought this people was after our money. Now, do they want it or not? Or are they bent on some twisted mission to make us Asians look like fools?

DO NOT BUY THE 360 ELITE!!!

65nm 360 is coming this fall (that's Sep-Nov to you and me) and from what i've read so far, this could be the 360 we have all been waiting for.

This is like the biggest untold secret yet when u put things in perspective.

Why the heck would Microsoft release Elite now? If it was sooo Elite why didn't it come equipped with the 65nm chip?

Answer 1 : Elite was there simply to deter potential PS3 buyers because they are competitively priced and not to mention the 120gb hdisk that put PS3 's own premium package at 60gb to shame.

Answer 2 : Elite was there with the black finish so as to trick potential PS3 buyers into buying 360s accidentally?

Microsoft being Dodgy

This guy can actually deny the 65nm 360!

It seems to me that Microsoft is so rich that they can afford to put a crappy(still has 3ROD) clone of their original crappy(3ROD) product just so that they can make life hell for PS3. That's how determined these people are. And who has to suffer? (I'm not going to answer that coz it's a rhetorical question)

So, what's the secret? Look at this.



With the 65nm being cooler, i truly believe this 360 will be 3ROD-proof! Cooling. That's the only thing that matters n i don't feel like spending MYR2k just to spend more money to repair it later.

And who gives a shite bout Elite or not, black or not? The way i see it, a brand new line of 360 will be on sale in fall. And since the PCB will be re-designed for the cooling system, they'll be mad not to include the HDMI ports on all three.

Come September, we could be seeing a brand new line of Core, Premium and Elite
all equipped with HDMIs and 3ROD free! Talk bout wet dreams coming true

So, the rest of you people who've followed this thread and haven't bought a 360 or planning to "upgrade" to the "Elite", DESTROY that thought!

Keep that money and wait for the truest of the 360, come this Sep.
