I hope that Bank Rakyat will provide hardware token to interested banking customers, such as your mother, just as you wish for.
The mandatory usage of mobile banking app is flawed from the perspective of banking customers, because not all banking customers have smartphone.
I am not sure that which thread we should use to discuss about hardware token and mobile banking app.

Not online merchant, but there is an option to utilise coins to offset up to 50% of payment when you choose "Show QR Code/Barcode" for payment (instead of scan the merchant's QR). The toggle appears below the "Wallet Balance" and "Use Voucher" row under the QR code. I have used this at Giant last week, probably works for any merchant that scans your displayed Shopeepay QR Code/Barcode.

I have been a month but not fixed yet. the last email i got was in June and then no more update from Shopee and I don't bother to deal with them. Good luck shopee.

T@NGo reload no fee if you don't plan to use the money for transfers. Shoppee Pay is sluggish - the only reason to use it is they allow paying with 50% of their coins.
