Now that paying Spaylater with MBB-Amex is treated as ewallet at times, so other than EVOL, Ambank-CB-Plat which other CC suitable for cb?

Description means nothing, MCC is the one that determines if it is ewallet. So until it is verified that it falls under ewallet MCC, I take it as if it is not over yet.

It depends on card issuer.
Some banks check MCC but some banks check the description.
In fact there is no ewallet MCC. MCC 6540 is funding transaction not limited to ewallet.

---

My testing results...
To be confirmed by others.

For those already saved the card details before, the description at 3D secure page is still "Seamoney" and posted description is "SPAYLATER".

For those just saved the card details to Shopee account, will see "MY SHOPEE MARKETPLACE" at approval page, when pay Spaylater will get "MY SHOPEE PAY LATER" at 3D secure page and the posted description is "SHOPEEPAY" (but MCC 5964 instead of 6540).

So DO NOT REMOVE card details from Shopee account!

So even if description is SHOPEEPAY but mcc is 5964, then txn shouldn't be classified as ewallet but ONLINE?

Up to the card issuer.

Just like top up Kiplepay (not MCC6540). Some banks consider it an ewallet but some don't.

Also PB give CB to "Shopee ..." (MCC6540) But MAY no longer give CB to "SHOPEEPAY" (regardless of MCC) (to be confirmed)

Also, HLB check the description, so SPAYLATER won't get 1% CB but MAY get 1% CB for "SHOPEEPAY". (To be confirmed)

How can there be a distinction in whether it is considered eWallet transaction or not, just based on WHEN the card was saved? I don't understand how this is possible.
