Ok makes sense. Did anyone realize for lenovo web the total price summary (after upgrades/customization) is different from the add to cart price (before checkout)?

Hi ZM Fong,

Have you heard of Machenike?
Due to 11.11, their price is so cheap, with only RM3199, you can get a laptop with GTX 1650 4GB, 8GB RAM , 512GB SSD and 144 Hz.

What do you think ?

No warranty, no support, and sounds sketchy to me (China brand tend to use lower quality components: RAM, storage, reject mobo etc)

I'm getting some error code when using LENXCIMB, the website quote to call the customer service.

I also notice the following:

1. when LENXCIMB is used, the previous discounted price is no longer valid. The 20% is applied of the original price before discount.
2. based on the shopback website, only codes from shopback should be use. In this case I believe we should be using SHOP10 for 10% discount in order to get cashback from shopback which is still a pretty good deal if order is place on 10 or 11 November to get the 14% cash back. The SHOP10 10% discount does not reset the discount given before the code is applied, so we actually get more discount using the SHOP10 code.

Brothers out there, I have compare Y700 and Y540 (15" & 17") with the setup below and am tempted to go for Y540 17". Beside the weight due to larger screen, anything else that I should take note of?

Intel Core i7-9750H
32GB (16+16) DDR4 2666MHz SoDIMM
512GB Solid State Drive, M.2 2280, PCIe-NVMe, TLC
NVIDIA GeForce GTX2060 4GB GDDR5 128bit

Thanks.

ZM Fong, was reading your review on Laguna SE and you mentioned the CPU couldn’t reach PL2 so does this means like somehow we cannot tap the full potential of the CPU performance?
Planning to pull the trigger on the 2070 model as per your review mentioned but I'm open to any other recommendation... hmm.gif

Budget can adjust but if possible not over 8k...
Would prefer lighter weight with 2 M.2 + 2.5 inch drive support...
Battery life can ignore as will mostly connected to wall plug...

I'm considering a thin and light gaming laptop and have narrowed down to:

ASUS ROG ZEPHYRUS M GU502G-UES022T

and

ASUS ROG ZEPHYRUS G GA502D-UAL035T

I play a lot of strategy games like Total War, Stellaris and also games like Mount and Blade and Rust.

I will also be using it for work so weight will be a consideration.

Any thoughts? or other laptop that i should be looking at.

Thanks
TSZM Fong
