Is the laptop capable of playing the current or even latest games especially games like PUBG and Fortnite at this price point and specification?
With 8GBx2, GTX1050 3GB and 120HZ display, 512GB M2 and Intel i5-9300H, would it have overheating issue for prolong gaming session?
Especially with aircon off in a room?
Anyone gaming this laptop at this specification?

Would highly suggest getting the 1650 config, 1050 is old and significantly less powerful. PUBG and Fortnite should be fine with 1650

Cooling is good, refer to my review

Hi ZM Fong,

Thank you for creating a thread on approved gaming laptop.

I am wondering how much thermal difference between Illegear Prodigy and Rogue? As both has different screen size.

Also, is it worth upgrading to 2060 over 1660Ti?

Thanks for your support

Prodigy is 15 inch thin and light while Rogue is 17 inch (thicker+bigger). Of course cooling room is more limited in Prodigy. However both have good cooling (cannot compare directly between these 2). Can refer to my reviews

2060 is faster than 1660Ti by about 5-15% depending on games

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Do you recommend illegear Prodigy or Rogue for games? Or there are better laptops out there for better thermals.

I am thinking of upgrading my old Gigabyte P25X and I would want something that would last for long term.

I am buying in Australia so stock may be a bit different but I want to get a general feel of different models. They do have Clevo based laptops but it’s sold by a local assembler that is similar to rogue and prodigy. Mainly good thermals and 6k budget.

Sorry for long reply.

If you don't need thin and light I would go for Rogue. Rogue is Tongfang not Clevo fyi

You buying from Infinity Australia?

I’m thinking of getting from Metabox.

I had been looking for what chassis they use but I couldn’t find much information on the chassis.

Is infinity Australia good?

Very similar to the above order from keah.kyle, I have also made my purchase 2 days ago.

The only difference is that mine is 1TB SSD, added Lenovo Legion M200 RGB Gaming Mouse for RM16 and manage to get a backpack from Lenovo for RM1

Total RM5010.20 - 6% Pending Cashback from ShopBack (RM291.40)
New Total = RM4718.8
