Specifically 4k....Yoga slim7 (14)

I don’t mind picking the yoga. But also to add on:

I don’t need a touch scree that the yoga is offering,
The thinkpad keyboard is really an advantage.

Preferabally a non srgb and upgradable ram. But I can live with a 16gb non-upgradable ram.

FYI i5 ULV and i7 ULV don't have much performance difference

Keep in mind that UHD/4k display will have shorter battery life and windows scaling issue in general. You still prefer 4k display?

low sRGB = colours less vibrant. I guess you need high sRGB?

Actually the Yoga slim 7 (14).... does not do the 360 Yoga.. and does not touch/pen support....limited to 8gb (lenovo my) RAM though

Erm batter life wise I’m ok cause I don’t work continues for long hours max I think about 4-6 hours stretch before I take a break and can do 1-2 hours charging. 4K wise I guess I still can live with a uhd since 14” I think won’t make a big diff.

Ya I need a high srgb, made a mistake in my reply earlier.

Was thinking the same too. And I plan to keep the laptop for a few years so i7 might help before I need to get a new replacement.

What about remanufactured ones? Been using consumer laptops since starting biz 2 years back and started failing eg laggy, crashes, etc despite using ori Win 10 & Office. Times are bad nowadays so I’m hunting for used instead but had bad experiences with refurbished ones. Recently I came across “remanufactured” enterprise grade laptops which is half the cost of its current model. Anyone tried before?

Will that 8core be an issue given my budget below 6k? I don’t need an over kill processor.

Since Thinkpad X1C G7 UHD is out of your budget, might want to stick with consumer grade laptops

Can consider Lenovo Yoga C940 customize (i7 only if want 4k display) or Yoga Slim 7 14 customize (not convertible, with low power MX GPU, max 8GB RAM since Lenovo doesn't provide upgrade for whatever reason)

that one is exception, and it's still rare to be found (since it's expensive due to being a binned chip)

The x1 carbon g7 is going for about 6.2k will all the discount which I don’t mind topping up. Will it be a good buy given my requirements?

Should not be too much of a price premium....should be similar to the 3000 variants now...

Any idea for the units that the Lenovo website states “ship in 5 days” takes to arrive in kl? I check with the online customer care they told me can receive in 7-8 working Days while ppl from Lenovo digital mall said usually 7-8 weeks.

Given that many factories in China are off-line... it'll be difficult to give a time even by Lenovo themselves... especially with customised parts (build to as the order comes in..)...

I bought my T495s on Tuesday, and received it Saturday morning.

It took roughly one full day for it to arrive from China to KLIA - but then got stock in customs for 2 days.
