Just made up my mind for the Laguna SE with RTX2070 purchase today, hopefully can get it soon... rclxm9.gif

EDIT: Will there be any notifications or tracking number provided when the laptop is shipped?

Heyy, would you guys/gals recommend a student to get the RAVEN-SE? I'm just worried about battery life mostly since many other notebooks can run up to 10hrs with normal usage. I'll be using the laptop alot (CS major) so mobility is pretty important for me.
Any thougts on this? Thanks.

Hi,

I'm currently using Illegear Raven, bought on August 2018. On equilibrium mode, the CPU keep heating up even on idle.

It's very hard for a performance notebook with Intel H series processor and gaming grade GPU to run up to 10 hours battery life. We suggest you to extend your battery to 63Wh battery pack on RAVEN SE.

It's quite high on idle mode. Are you able to send it in for servicing?

For these two models, we would recommend the Raven SE for a laptop with a thinner/slimmer build and a smaller footprint because of the bezelless design. The RAVEN SE-R offers RTX 2060 GPU with identical build but we have equipped an extra heatpipe to accomodate the more powerful GPU.

However for gaming, the normal Raven is recommended instead due to the mechanical keyboard availability as well as the more sturdy build 😊

For the standard battery (47Wh), the battery life lasts around 2 to 4 hours of normal web browsing usage. However, do note that battery life usage may vary because it depends on screen brightness, ongoing usage, background usage, network connectivity and as well as specific usage of different users, hope this clarifies.

Note that Laguna SE doesn't have Optimus which means less battery life compared to Optimus laptops like Onyx / Raven SE (63Wh upgrade in these 2 models should achieve around 5 hrs battery life)

Hi guys.

I am new user of the Illegear Rogue. I just bought it last Wednesday 13/11/19. Specs as per below:

Intel i7 9750h
gtx 1650
16gb ddr4
512gb ssd pcle nvme

Many thanks to Azim Illegear and Illegear team for the great customer service. I received my laptop (self-collect) after 2 days of ordering.

My first impression about this laptop is very good. It is a great laptop.

My primary usage will be gaming + scheduling + Autocad.

At this moment, I've never play any games yet as my work comes first.

Btw guys, (refer to the photo attached), is it normal for the CPU to reach 71 degree celcius in idle mode?

Probably something running at background (eg Win update)

Hi bul3m, glad to know that the laptop has been successfully received! As for the temperature, the 71°C is quite high during idle but it might be due to an intensive application that is running in the background. Should you wish to self-diagnose, it is possible for you to monitor the background applications to see which program/application that is harnessing the background resources - here's a handy guide: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-wind...tem-performance

Should you wish to liaise with our team for support/assistance, you may reach us at 018-261 8599 (WhatsApp)

Hi zoixc, may I know if your power option is set to 'Balanced'? We would usually recommend to set the power plan to 'Balanced' regardless if the laptop is powered by charger/battery: https://www.howtogeek.com/240840/should-you...lan-on-windows/

This is because the High Performance mode will activate the TurboBoost at all times and this could be causing the uneven core temp observed.
