66x series is a very old series, most budget phone are using it now, that 660 was like 4 years ago as I can remember, unless they are stupid, they will try to optimize for 660+ performance.

There is once Realme have cheap clear stock for 5G phone, you may target Realme if you really want real cheap, it may left with another 1 year of system update, but as long as you don't required too much function like redmi MIUI, then great for going to Realme la.

Realme even it is develop by India, but so far not much bug faced, just less frequent update, so far latest model OTA will be tie to India update release time, unlike old model need to flash latest ROM manually, because of forgot about MY market lol.

Next year will be more MTK phone coming soon, because Qualcomm snapdragon is not that good anymore with their SAMSUNG 5nm, new 4nm TSMC for MTK beat Qualcomm already, but unsure how's the system stability la, the only problem for MTK is strange stability issues, Realme MTK is less issues than Redmi MTK phone la, because of skill or money, unsure lol.

Anyways, please google for Lazada or shopee deals from soya news, as I can recall most big sale that website got list down the price la

slapdragon 662 is quite new (if not wrong mid 2020 announce, using back old arm core but with newer node)

but what u say is correct, some newer MTK dimension cheap is quite good
actually redmi 9T are quite good for the price (RM399 during sales for 64GB)

everything quite good
- big battery (6000 mah)
- 1080p ips
- UFS storage (many other at this price (300~600) still using eMMC)


however, the bad..
- MIUI on low-end device (not optimize and got advertisement)
- ** u can disable ad, but some of the setting it will auto re-enable after 30day...
- camera meh
- redmi 9T is basically poco m3 but with extra camera....quite alot people brick after update/restart (google redmi 9t / poco m3 dead boot)

Yes, but just reminder, eMMC can be faster than UFS, the UFS got cheap version which also bad than high end eMMC.
But yes, UFS 2.1 ensure you are not getting the worst storage performance for sure.

The problem is TRIM, lot of old device with eMMC don't have proper TRIM feature, they will only TRIM when you charged for hours, or reboot, or removed lot of small files.
The best example is eMMC for Asus zenfone Max Pro M1, until now still running much much quicker on storage benchmark, it is not having F2FS FYI.
The worst example is eMMC for Huawei Y Max(华为畅享MAX in China), it is target for retail shop with 50% of earning, so yes, most eMMC of this model break down.

Ya, 9T with that brick issues, better don't touch it, it is very trouble if you using it as daily phone la, but if you using it as backup phone, then fine.

MIUI on medium end is best, because they lack of animation but 90% feature available, those animation and transparent take lot of performance, memory while give you lot of bugs. which is...

So yes, the best is still those Redmi Note series available on China market, surely they don't brick it easily because most market are using it.

While Realme is taking market for Asia, so as long as they don't fxxk up, it will be a good cheap phone, so far having 4 of it, and still running, just MTK ROM update sometimes got graphic issues.

New bie , I am not really updated with latest phone.What I browse through are samsung phone mostly are over price.I didn't see any samsung phone below 500 that is why I but the budget as <600.
About the performance , as long as it work well browsing with chrome with 1-10 tabs and fast and smooth on laz web browsing.Social media , decent camera and normal youtube will do.I am not sure about 66x series but I saw someone bought a redmi 9T which below <400 during sales.But sales ended and revert back to higher price and i don't know when will the sales starting again.

- there is AD at system level (u can disable but some core app will auto re-enable every 30day)
- risk of brick - this is hardware issue (i heard newer batch unit solved, finger cross u dun get old unit dated before maybe jul~aug ?)

For samsung;

For other brand, actually pricing below 500 you don't get good all rounder.
Mostly come with 8x A55 and eMMC 5.1 storage

If you wan use as main phone , can try top up to 600 ~ 7xx aim for POCO X3 or M4 PRO during sales

at first i duno got 2 type voucher club, just like u, first time register account at lazada, when i first time tap on voucher club, it appear RM25 monthly fee, i did not join at that time, after a while it became RM10, i thought is offer for new user, so i join, after that i noticed the voucher i can collect save up to RM89 instead of RM250, then i know there is 2 type voucher club.

For best night shot, only flagship phone without using MTK, many brand not having optimized ISP algorithm for taking photo with MTK, even vivo or oppo(I forgot which one ) is much better than XiaoMi in daylight only, but still worse than Qualcomm ISP.

So yes, a normal phone with Qualcomm should be good enough already, 66x is famous chip, so they already have good optimized ISP algorithm for 2 years.

Also doing research on battery replacement, found out most seller brand is fake 50% capacity only, while easy to kembung lol, at least found 1 HK brand is real one, but RM 50+ la.
