QUOTE(sfotsy @ Sep 24 2019, 07:44 PM) may i know what is the diff of my streamyx 8MB and this unifi 20mb Rm 69.00 so if you break the seal before the end of 2 weeks (real contract start), any idea what the penalty is? might still be a good way to get the b618...i can see that streamyx shall be more stable??? and btw i saw the website of unifi stated if no want the B618 can just take the card only, but if with the Modem ( have to take 24 months). I just wondering does this B618 will be locked by only using UNIFI? when i get my modem i found my new sim card already in as with a sticker on it if the seal is broken the warranties will be void. |

Really bad and slow, my streamyx is better then Unifi Air !!! |

Hi, sorry for noob question. I just got myself this Huawei B618 recently. I recently moved to a newly completed condo and that time, TM haven't install port for the condo. According to the management office, TM will only start installation after few months. I need the internet service ASAP. So i visited celcom and was introduced to the Home wireless plan. After close to 2 months of using this celcom home wireless service, TM is now available in my condo.
So my question is, What is the advantage of this Huawei router comparing to Unifi modem? Isn't modem more stable and faster? Why do ppl choose this router over the modem? I did a speed test and it is only 10mbps. Don't you guys think its a bit slow compare to unifi modem? Thanks |

Thanks - your current b618 is using celcom WIRELESS connection prone to tower congestions, line quality - and tm is using FIBER connection which is far more faster/stable than wireless. lol but if you compare the b618 router with given tm router, then obviously b618 router wifi range is much more better if you set it to wireless ap mode. nuff said. Thanks which unifi plan? elaborate. we got unifi fibre, unifi air, unifi mobile etc both are modem. one is for fibre, one is for LTE/4g modem if u compare plan wireless and fibre, fibre will win. this modem is more for those who dont have access to fibre especially those with streamyx. or usage mostly on the go. if the speed only 10mbps, and u have other alternative that is faster, go for the alternative. |

guys, anyone here using external 4G antenna for their B618?
I got problem now where B618 place 1st floor 4G signal strength only middle but WIFI usage at lower floor is excellent. But if i put upstair, 4G signal strength is the best but WIFI signal at lower floor suffer. I got TP-link WA860RE range extender but due to plug location, even the extender can't really receive the good WIFI signal strength. I'm thinking buy a 4G antenna for the B618 to be used in downstair, so that i can get both best 4G and WIFI signal at downstair. |

I bought the B618s-65d from Lazada.
Anyone know where I can find latest official firmware to download? The B618s-65d page says it's the latest but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks. |

Because I planned to get the unlocked 65D from Shopee and seems like all positive review. But it's not possible for unlocked unit become locked after firmware update right?https://shopee.com.my/product/11343598/4135...FxS5-ZMKZp5gHVU Most latest v81 firmware available for malaysian telco like unifi air and celcom are telco sim locked. for now only v11 is unlocked firmware.
