Considering Netflix use 25Mbit for 4K, So 8K 50Mbit lor. Bear in mind this is also highly compressed video....

Bluray at 1080p already 30 to 50Mbit/s .

wrong, 8k has 4x resulotion of 4k, meaning 8k requires 100Mbps connection

This link doesn't support anything what was being argued.

And as it says, you can't measure your eyes resolution like that as it doesn't works like that.

No. It will require 4x the the 4k video. If Netflix require 25Mbps, then the 8K video with same quality will require 100Mbps

It doesnt matter if you can see difference or not. Now most smart TV is 4k. Might as well just buy it. Unless you can find HDR 1080p at cheap price. 4k tv watch 1080p also not bad. Maybe only can see difference if sit only 2.5-3m away. But who gonna sit that close?

Even if the source is FHD, the TV will automatically do up-scaling and generate 4K video. Somehow the up-scaling generator these day are good and can improve the lower resolution video. Even skin texture is clear on 4K TV compare to FHD tv.

Share with you guys.

Got chart here about viewing distance and perceivable difference between 4K and 1080p together with TV size.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/4k-ultra-hd...caling-compared

But yeah, most TV nowadays 4K. When buy new TV, just make sure you buy 4K with HDR and preferably Android TV.

But i do notice there is difference at 8 feet from 4K TV comparing with 1080p, in general. Just not that big of difference, or until can zoom into pixel.

Render in HD only? Sounds a bit unbelievable...PS4 can render Horizon Zero Dawn with HDR in real time. Despicable ME cannot do 4K with a 20,000 computers rendering farm OFFLINE? if complex scene like Avengers CGI maybe need more power...but most animation are hardly photo realistic. But i dunno lah, i am not expert. Just doesn't seems logical.
*
HDR is different technology than 4k
HDR is dynamic range and color space
4k is resolution
Horizon Zero Dawn can run at 2k resolution but you are rendering the screen.
CGI creator need to render animation they created.. different requirement computing power (can take example if you are viewing a photo and editing a photo with photoshop)
