QUOTE(voncrane @ Apr 18 2019, 01:36 PM) I understand your predicament bro. Best of luck on that issue.I parallel park in this thread as am looking for a 2-channel dashcam to replace the mini 0906 which have been behaving erratically after the warranty period expired. ![]() Considering the Viofo A129 or Thinkware X700 as they both have LCD screen which I consider as quite helpful when the missus is on the steering wheel. |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ May 11 2019, 10:23 AM) This so funny I know iRoad is more popular in SG over Thinkware and Blackvue due to the cheaper price..... Over here, when comparing the price, say we take the so call top of the range WQHD/QHD models of these 2 makers, the iRoad TX9 is about RM1.6k whereas the Thinkware QX800 cost about RM2.4k, the difference is almost a grand. But as you rightly mention, the Thinkware has better built quality, reliability and parking mode. This post has been edited by widget: May 11 2019, 11:12 AM |

QUOTE(Bront Palabuto @ May 15 2019, 10:11 PM) I chat with sicureztech through Shopee platform. Just call the number in their website and clarify with them."hi, hardwire kit is not included." Somewhat you are right, their website states that the kit is included. Lazada is it? Just in time. F800 Pro la like this ![]() Sam or Steven can also advise your need if you tell him what is your budget and requirement |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ May 18 2019, 04:14 PM) Saw this deal on Shopee for Samsung Evo Plus 128GB for rm68 (ori price rm88) with promo code: grabmdi3 Good price indeed!https://shopee.com.my/samsungmemory.os/2121582888 Also see if you can grab the free shipping voucher then save more on shipping. Am using the same card for my Thinkware F800Pro as the Thinkware card is freakin’ expensive. Btw, have you ever used 256Gb or higher capacity card for your F800Pro? QUOTE(Exceet @ May 20 2019, 05:25 PM) I am interested with viofo a129 duo. But without hardwiring, is it possible to have the cam to record when there is collision while the car is parked? The only way to record in parking mode without hardwiring is by using battery pack.Try to avoid hardwiring as it will void warranty... Not sure if Viofo can support battery pack from Thinkware or Blackvue, but mind you the price of Thinkware battery park is more expensive than the A129 duo dashcam. When I spoke to Sam of Sicurez during my Thinkware installation, he told me normally those who install battery pack are drivers that worry of their car warranty or those driving hybrid |

QUOTE(shahruls @ May 23 2019, 02:11 PM) I did consider this QX800 as I was also looking for a 2-channel dashcam with screen. But as with other Thinkware dashcam with screen, they don't come with wifi so all the settings have to be done on the screen. That's just the way with Thinkware, either you get the screen or you get the non-screen with wifi Other dashcam with screens from other makers such as iRoad TX9, Viofo A129 all have wifi. |

QUOTE(Keatsan @ May 23 2019, 05:04 PM) Apparently X350 is the only 1CH dashcam with LCD and Wifi. Good to know that they used to make dashcam with screen and wifi, albeit the X350 is only 1 channel and their mid-range price version.Hopefully Thinkware could release Wifi connectivity as standard in future models. I went to Sicurez thinking of getting the QX800 or X700 to replace my Mini 0906 but left with F800 Pro instead This post has been edited by widget: May 23 2019, 08:39 PM |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ May 27 2019, 11:03 PM) But got ppl like to compare price with iRoad and say iRoad is cheaper. But they never include the wifi or GPS module also. Once included will be about the same price as Thinkware. I know for iRoad X9, the external wifi dongle comes together but the GPS antennae need to be purchased separately.I like the uncluttered looks of the F800 Pro, F770 as the wifi and GPS are built-in. Only the power and rear camera cables are exposed |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jun 1 2019, 12:09 PM) Hi guys, Viofo A129 Duo fits your requirement nicely.I know this probably the trillion-th time the question been asked, but can you sifus gave me a recommendation : + dual channel + user friendly app (my Thinkview 800 app suck) + LCD touchscreen Less than 800-1k with discerete installation. Can check with Sicurez at Sunway as they are the authorised distributor for Viofo. If you don’t need touchscreen, can check their Thinkware F200 which they also carry |

Depends on the car makers as for my CX-5, everytime I send my car to Bermaz Glenmarie for servicing (already done up to 40k servicing there), the SC will take photo of any modifications done that are visible.
Some of the CX-5 owners who don’t want to hardwire their dashcam but need the parking mode will spend extra on external battery pack, which easily cost Rm1k or more for Thinkware or Blackvue battery pack |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jun 15 2019, 09:25 PM) Look at Viofo A119 V3 or A129 Duo. I can say the above have better image quality than my F800 Pro. But I use F800 Pro more for the other features like the ADAS and true parking mode. Anyway, I'm upgrading to the Q800 Pro next week or the week after that ![]() ![]() ![]() I agree with you. Even my previous Mini 0906 has better image quality over my F800 Pro |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jun 27 2019, 04:06 PM) Bro,How's the video quality compared to your F800Pro? The Rm2.8k includes 128Gb, CPL filter or just basic set-up? My F800Pro cost Rm1.8k last month, so quite a massive hike if basic set-up only. Thanks This post has been edited by widget: Jun 27 2019, 05:12 PM |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jun 27 2019, 09:21 PM) Mine is CPL filter & 64GB only... Basic set with 32GB already at rm2.3k... The Thinkware 128GB MLC micro SD card is already rm700+ I see, the jump in price from F800Pro is consider OK lah since the basic set is Rm2.3k, about Rm500 price hike. ![]() ![]() ![]() I find it clearer than F800 Pro. I heard Thinkware is releasing a firmware update soon with improved image quality. Hopefully the new firmware will improve the video quality. QUOTE(makebusy1 @ Jun 28 2019, 09:32 AM) MYR700++ for a 128gb sd card is cutthroat costly where in Lazada Lexar 128gb is only MYR70ish plus shipping Indeed,Even if order from overseas, the price of Thinkware card is crazy expensive. Luckily the 128Gb Samsung Evo+ card at less than Rm100 can works in Thinkware without issue This post has been edited by widget: Jun 28 2019, 09:38 AM |

QUOTE(Keatsan @ Jun 28 2019, 03:02 PM) Interesting. Considering Sicurez sell the F800 Pro for RM1.8k (when I installed mine in May), inclusive of installation and local warranty, the savings from the PI sets are not that great.![]() Thanks for the info. I'm seeing parallel import for F800 Pro selling at RM1.5k - RM1.6k for duo set with parking kit. Tempting pricing ..... ![]() With Q800 Pro already available, maybe the price of F800 Pro will drop further The safety camera alert is quite useful too, especially on roads that we are not familiar with |

QUOTE(kskoay @ Jul 8 2019, 03:32 PM) About thinkware F770, i saw this in internet "Safety camera alerts let you know when you're approaching red lights and speed cameras", this also work in Malaysia? As @blurjoey reply above, I'm afraid only alert for AES cameras on highwayFor red light and speed cameras, better stick to Waze |

QUOTE(kskoay @ Jul 9 2019, 08:26 AM) first of all, thanks alot for the feedback, i have a question about "true parking mode", you mean time lapse?...... Thinkware true parking modes have 3 options; which are time lapse, motion detection and impact detection. The advantages of Thinkware parking mode over their Chinese competitors is that they have buffered mode, i.e. they will save the 10 seconds clip before the incident happened, whereas China-brand parking mode normally will only save from the moment the incident happened. For me, if I want to save the car battery if I park on busy parking lot for quite some time, I'll switch from motion detection to impact detection. If someone scratch your door using coin or key and they never walk in front or behind your car, I doubt any true parking mode will help you to determine the culprit unless you install side dashcam, which I believed is still not available commercially. As for video quality, I'm afraid even my previous Mini 0906 has better video quality than my Thinkware F800Pro. |
