IIRC, only the "motion detection" is buffered, whereas the "impact detection", being an energy saving mode is not buffered.

I do realized that even though I enabled the blue LED indicator for my rear camera, if I switch on to "impact detection", the blue LED light will not lit.

The guys there are quite professional in answering my queries on the phone and when I went there to decide on which dashcam to install.

For SUV, last time for my CX-5 accessory shopss quoted me RM200 for front and rear dashcam with tap to fusebox.
They said if sedan car will be cheaper by Rm50 or so

AFAIK, it will require hardwire for parking mode.
Lower price dashcam are like Mini 0906, which you can buy online from China for Rm400-500 with hardwire kit.
I used to have Mini 0906 on my CX-5 for about a year or so but changed to Thinkware F800 Pro in May this year.

OTOH, Korean brands like Thinkware, Blackvue can use battery pack instead of hardwire for parking mode.
But this dedicated battery park cost from RM1k to 2k depending on the capacity

Confirm works with Samsung Evo+ 128Gb card. Else, can try the 256Gb card

Should be around that price for hardwire 2-channel dashcam installation.

Just that for some newer cars with radar, camera, sensor for ACC, ADAS, etc on the windscreen, might have to stick the U1000 very low or off-centre.

I'm also driving a CX-5.
For iRoad, they do have local installers with iRoad local warranty (i.e. Jack Lieu in Taman Equine, iRoad shop in Glenmarie, etc) so maybe you can ask them for the price including installation for peace of mind.
If just for installation at accessory shops, need to standby at least Rm200 for front and rear installation, with extra charges for wire tap fuse, etc.

As for warranty, when you send your car to Bermaz SC, normally they will take note and photos of the external installation and if you're unlucky, SC might not want to entertain any warranty claim for tempering with the wiring or 3rd-party installation

Read the 1st page first for what you function you required and the recommendation.
Around that budget, can search for Viofo A129 Duo or Pro, iRoad X9, Thinkware F200, etc

Their workmanship is excellent and they will answer all your query that you have about their dashcam.

If parking mode is important, can't go wrong with Thinkware.
For around your budget, I think you can consider Thinkware F200, X700 or maybe F770 (if it's on sale)

Just wondering why do you need the battery pack?
When I install my F800Pro at Sicurez last year, they told me normally battery pack is popular with those driving hybrid or electric car.
The cost of Thinkware battery pack can also add another Rm1k or Rm2k to the dashcam cost

Then nothing much can be done about it as the warranty issue is a real PITA.
Car manufacturers can easily find fault with the customers after-market installation.

Just that TW battery pack easily cost you another Rm1k or Rm2k, depending on the battery capacity.
Which can be the same cost as the dashcam itself

For dual dash-cam, installation for MPV, SUV, will be more expensive if compared to sedan and small hatchback cars
If need to tap into fusebox they will charge extra too for the fuses, etc

As they are an official distributor, you don't have to worry about local warranty.
