Which dashcam brand do you recommend for Myvi?
Was looking at the 70Mai dashcam and wondering is it a good dashcam?

I'm using this 70mai Pro. Add a bit for the GPS module. It's value for money for budget dashcam.
*
Ya was looking at this as the price considered OK and within my budget. Just wanted to check about the reliability of the dashcam from other users

A119v2 no gps self install

Thanks, will consider this

BTW for parking mode to work, we must wiretap the car dashcam to the car battery for it to work ya? Does it void warranty? Normally how much do mechanics charge for installation? (Say if i take the Viofo model with parking mode)

Manage to find back my old dashcam Papago P2 Pro (or was it the P3 I forgot). I remember what i liked about it was it has built in speed camera warnings and will tell you if you are going pass the speed limit. That time Waze was not yet popular

Want to ask, how does the 70mai rearview mirror dashcam stack up with the Viofo a119v3? Saw it also using the Sony Starvis sensor like the Viofo, although seem like got 2 versions of it (the 5 inch monitor and 9 inch monitor like using different sensors)

In the end, it will depends on the person writing the firmware to fine-tune the image quality.

Viofo has beta testers around the world to test their firmware before releasing the final version.

70mai not sure.

The rearview dash cam kinda looks interesting as it is a dash camera, on top of that also have those auto glare cut of features all in one. Although not state of the art features for a dashcam, but if the sensor is good and can do its purpose of recording be OK i guess hmm.gif

If we do hard wiring for the dashcam, it will void warranty for the car ya? But then the warranty void for whole car or void warraty for certain parts only?

Technically not supposed to void the warranty. But some SC (not all SC) are pricks and will report to the car manufacturer that you installed 3rd party which will void the warranty.

I remember a case where a person in Civic group installed 3rd party speakers and LED light bulbs got his whole Civic warranty bye-bye after SC reported to HM. Less than a 1-year-old Civic also.

But I do know that the new PDRM Civics installed with hardwired A129 Pro Duo won't void the warranty as HM gave an authorized letter to the installer for it.
*
Planning to hardwire dashcam for parking mode purposes but worry Perodua will buat hal and void warranty for whole car later sweat.gif
If void battery warranty only then I still ok, but if want to void whole car warranty leh... then not worth d lo just for parking mode

I actually don't need to remove my hardwire kit every time I bring my car to service as I know the service manager laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

If any issues, he'll tell me to take out it for photo proof then put back in.

hi guys,

i just want to ask which one is better between Mi Drive 07 and Anytek A9?
anyone here using these dahscams?
*
Didnt know got brand Anytek also biggrin.gif
Im also interested in this kind of dashcam as it wont be sticking on the front windscreen
Just wondering whether this kind of dashcam parking mode is "real parking mode" or just continue to record when your car engine off and u do hardwiring?

Haven't heard of Anytek for quite some time now. A9 is 1440p vs MiDrive07 1080p.

Others you'll need to go thru specs.
"True parking mode" in these dashcams better wait long long time. Only Viofo made it but not perfect yet.
Can't see the mount but saw the power and rear cam cables are going to the A129's body.

It should look like this.

Haha so means only worth to do hardwire for those with "true parking mode" and the rest just plug in the cigarette port

Mind to share what device you are using? A portable phone with hotspot activated? Or a dongle?

I presume if using dongle we need to connect usb port, which will be switched off once engine turned off?

With that, we need to have a monthly subscription data plan for this feature. I'm thinking whether is it worthwhile to subscribe a data plan solely to fully utilise the live view features?
*
Technically u dont need to subscribe a data plan, you can get a multi sim (if you are on maxis) to share the existing data plan from your phone line.

Just only left with the dongle, mayb can consider those wifi hotspot powerbank types

If it is LiFePO4 batteries will be good to be used in vehicles. But LiFePO4 not as cheap as lithium-ion batteries.

Checked out some reviews and it states it is using an 11,100mAh lithium-polymer battery.
Finally a right side lens.

It should be the same as this but the lens is on the right and bigger screen.

The 70Mai jump starter is on lithium polymer, does that make a difference? biggrin.gif

Digital rear view mirror dashcam uses camera to be a rear view mirror.

Rear view mirror dashcam got a mirror with a screen underneath the mirror.

I didnt know got digital rear view mirror sweat.gif
I thought all are those rear view mirror dashcams with a screen underneath the mirror. But wanna know how is the "performance" of the mirror for this kind of dashcam? If the screen is off, the mirror will it be as clear as our original mirror?
