But Sicurez will start selling the Thinkware U1000 on 4th Oct sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Viofo A129 Pro is delayed a bit as they are ironing out some random bug. Kudos Viofo thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

good to know that. main question is: hardwire or battery pack? sweat.gif
*
The battery pack depends on which model as some is using the power (ciggie) port or hardwire to car fuse.

A battery pack is good if you worry about the car battery drain and also the car's warranty.

For Thinkware iVolt - BAB-50 is using the power port while BAB-100 is using car fuse.

BAB-50 can power 2CH for about 16 hours. BAB-100 can power 2CH for about 36 hours.

I set my Thinkware connected via hardwire to power off at either 24 hours or 12v is detected.

So basically, if i am worried with the warranty, i should go with a battery pack rite?

you did hardwire, just to enquire - does it mean that you just plug the wires in one of the empty slots? coz sicurez said no wire cutting and no tapping. hmm.gif
*
But if the ciggie port spoilt, SC will blame the equipment you plugged into the port and no warranty also laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Yes, I hardwired it myself to my City 2014. No wire cutting or tapping. Just use the fuse taps with the hardwire kit and City have lots of empty fuse slots to use.

What is the difference on A119 v2 and v3 ? Can v2 be firmware upgradeable ?

Thinking to add hardwire kit for A119 v2
hmm.gif
*
V2 & V3 different hardware. V3 is newer with a new lens, Sony Starvis sensor, buffered parking mode, and a new GPS chip.

All Viofo dashcams' firmware can be updated if have update.

Hi sifus, I just finished hardwiring my A119v3, but not sure if it is working correctly...

I wired ACC to the rear accessory socket fuse and battery to the power door locks fuse. I bolted the ground wire to a metal bolt but it's resting against a plastic piece, is that ok?

There is a red LED in the voltage control box, and the camera turns on when ignition on, and the red LED turns on solid. When I shut off the car, the red LED blinks rapidly. Does this mean my hardwiring is successful?
*
By right the red LED won't blink rapidly. Can check if the parking mode is recording?

Any way to check if the fuse used is correct? ACC fuse only have power when the engine is on. BATT fuse has power when engine is off and on.

Hi,
Nice to hear you DIY the hardwire for the A119(V3), may I know how much was it?
I am thinking of getting one myself, wanna check if this model comes with the suction cup or sticker?
Thanks

Thinkware F770 2CH (RM1,599) or Thinkware F800 Pro 2CH (RM1,899)

should i go with the cheaper ones or bust it all out with the pro sweat.gif
*
F770 I think is more value for money as the previous flagship.

I just bought the Viofo IR cam.

1. If 2 cam run together, it fix at 1080p. No way to change to 720p?
2. The IR colour got 3 modes. I hate the auto where whole recording is purple
3. Colour mode also, still got light purple. When much light in cabin, then become normal colour.
4. When the light is low, image alot of noise.
5. How u all hang the cam? Mine look messy.
[attachmentid=10318263]
*
1. 720p can't see much details but A129 is native 1080p only.
2. All good infrared cams are purplish for dark spots.
3. Color mode relies on the amount of light more than the IR LEDs.
4. Have to use Auto mode if really dark. Color mode depends if there is enough light or not.
5. Cabling usually needs some time to tidy up.

Didn't research first before buying?

1. Noted and will discuss back with the seller.
2. Never jump to his car before, he just show me the video quality using phone only 😢
*
Try to watch the video using the micro SD card on a 1080p TV or monitor and see.

The phone screen is small so might look nice unless it is that hi-res screen like on Samsung Note or S series.

Just try to discuss nicely with the seller and see how?

Speedtest is one thing, is the actual capacity legit? I've been scammed before at Lazada(no less) buying 32gb Sandisk(actual size 8gb)...
*
As long as hwtest2 doesn't give any errors when running the test then it is legit.

Also, read the buyer's review
