This is very subjective. It does not say which is better. You can do some survey on both items.

TX9 copied the Thinkware QX800 for the LED ring.

LED ring can be turned off.

Also, iRoad using the same hardwire kit as Thinkware. So can use both brands without changing the hardwire kit.
*
IC...since the hardwire kit is the same, then will be easy if one day thinks to swap with Thinkware.
For the security LED, ya I am never turned on. cool2.gif

What is the record file format in Thickware? MP4? Can it set the recording duration? For Iroad I think is only 24 secs and is standard.
Iroad is come with JDR file format and then need to convert it into AVI using apps. JDR is only able to open by using Iroad apps. So will be a bit leceh since no option for another file format. confused.gif

By the way what you mean by Thinkware True Parking Mode?

My android app was latest. I later evening check back.
Desktop will be hard, as the dashcam at a weird angle in front the mirror hard to take out sd card.

Ps: that knight rider style running led maybe look cook.  the more annoying was, parking is slow running, but parking + recording was flashing.. Wtf...
*
I had try android apps as well. As I know there is 2 Iroad apps in Play Store. The Red Color Iroad apps should be the latest one. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

There will be a problem if the dashcam located too near on top with no gap to remove the cards. You can slide remove the device just remove the card lor...

Is the GPS will work if I paste on windshield top corner on the darker tint strip.
The GPS will face upsidedown if I stick on the windshield. Will it still can receive the signal?

Or this GPS has to put on the Dashboard so it will not upside down.

Please advise...

Dear sifus,

Noob here n would like to clarify a few things on dash cam . Can somebody please confirm if my understanding below is correct?

1. If we want our dashcam to have the parking mode, must do hardwiring.
2. If do hardwiring, for sure will void the warranty of the car? For a car there are few warranties with different period. Will it void all warranty or only certain type of warranty?
*
If your car has an issue with electronic, go to accessories shop first to remove the hardwiring before go to check or claim at the service center. but during installation, you need to make sure plug and play and not cut any wire.
I do this all the while and never void any warranty. This also has to depend on the Service Center that you go. icon_rolleyes.gif

Thank you very much all sifus for sharing your knowledge!  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

@blurjoey I Googled the OBD port and that method seems simple and neat enough. But this is the first time I heard bout using OBD port to power the dashcam. Is there any catch with using this method / y isn't this method being used by many people?

@Winter@7 I only go to the shop to remove the hardwire when I need to claim warranty right? For normal servicing at the SC, no need right? scared they make note bout the hardwiring during servicing...  tongue.gif Do you have any recommendations on any good accesories shop which can do this within Klang Valley?
*
Normally they not going to F*ck u for normal service. they just do their normal service and mostly is not interior. also if you want a claim, for example, your absorber or anything not replated with electronics, no need to remove. Only need to remove it when you want to claim a certain part due to electronic failure.

My car had install auto fold mirror, auto door speed lock, they not even f*ck me. I did claim my side mirror fold issue, and before I go to SC for a claim report, I went to accessories shop remove the auto fold wiring and I do not have an issue with the claim at all.
